Over at Crafty Ribbons Inspiration we are running an Advent event. Pop over to be in with a chance of winning oodles of prizes...
Here is today's project...
This ribbon came from Bev's Bag - it's a very fun design, really makes me smile!
I folded the top and bottom under and stitched it, just so it wouldn't fray. I added a ric rac loop at the top for hanging and added a few jingle bells at the bottom, again with ric rac.
You can get little pegs that are already coloured but the only ones I had were plain wood. I coated them with a couple of layers of acrylic paint and topped them with an interference paint to give it a shine when they catch the light.
I should just explain the cards - the bullfinch is my fave bird species and my mate always sends me bullfinch cards. I've kept them all over the years! :)
Don't forget to leave a comment here for my giveaway!
Oh how sweet that looks Laura! That ribbon is gorgeous and those happy snowmen leave me with a big smile on my face ;-) Take care and thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, Ira x

Now that is brilliant. I have a little container of coloured pegs that I got in Morrison's, so just got to look out some ribbon.
ReplyDeleteWow, Laura, you're busy with your daily Advent projects! Well done you. They are all very different and unusual.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment - glad you like how my album is coming along. I've got a few more bits to add to page 1 but while I think about it, I am going to try and make a start on the next page. At this rate I doubt I shall ever finish it!!
