Yeah, it's been a while since I blogged! I had the cold/virus 'thing' that is going around and it completely flattened me. Extra illnesses on top of M.E don't mix well. I only got through December with prescheduled posts... But I am feeling a little better and I am itching to Art and share.
On my desk today are a few thank you cards. I just had a happy half hour playing with washi :)
I think this one is my favourite.
I've also been working on a canvas but as it is a DT piece I can't show it until Thursday.
There really hasn't been much else going on herre - hopefully that will have changed by next week. I intend to take up the Craft Barn's yearly challenge. I have my dictionary ready!
Pop by Queen of Desks, Julia's for loads of desk hopping.
Oh lovely cards, really must get me some Washi tapes. Happy WOYWW BJ#52

Hi Laura, love the thank you cards. I have a quick question for you. In the top right hand corner of your desk pic today there are some cute boxes with buttons / brads? on the front. What are they? What's inside and where can I get me some :)

Just love the washi experiments - what great cards! I've also had the flu bug, and still coughing away like a 90-a-day smoker (which I promise I'm not). Happy WOYWW!

washi tape looks fab ! Darlene # 117
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work you've done with the washi tape, Laura. I'm sorry to hear you've been so poorly. I know what it's like to get stuff on top of M.E. My hubby had that awful stomach virus but thankfully I escaped scot free!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment. Spoke guards are primarily to prevent your fingers and clothing getting tangled in the spokes of your wheelchair, but being a large flat area, they also serve a decorative purpose, and for us artists, and opportunity for self expression (or exhibitionism!!) - I did some more on my project today and so far they are working well and the papier mache is holding up well.
Your "dream" may be prophetic - I've designed several new zentangle patterns recently and they have been submitted to the Tangle Patterns site, and once the owner has time, she will evaluate them and if they are OK, they will appear on her site! I have found one of my zentangle-inspired art drawings on Pinterest which is encouraging. My next big project will be to decorate the cover of my album, and it's an ongoing process, drawing up the patterns and instructions on the ATCs to go in the album. Lovely and relaxing and fulfilling to do when I'm confined to the recliner!
Happy WOYWW, and I hope you are feeling better now.
