Lottie Loves Paper | Think Happy

I'm having a lot of fun with the Think Happy kit from Lottie Loves Paper.  Here are two recent layout/video combos... I'm absolutely crazy for this patterned paper... the green with dots is beautiful but more importantly there are birds on the other side!!  I have a few sheets so I sacrificed one sheet for the green side.  Truth be told I'm not ready to cut the birds up! And the second... This one stars rainbows fussy cut from an Amy Tangerine paper. And cute puffy sticker animals from Paige Evans.  Thanks for stopping by!

Stash Busting | Literally!

I scrapped along with Stash Busting yesterday.  When I recently redid my craft room I collated all of the half dones and page kits/idea bags and vowed to get them used up.  These two layouts resulted in two empty bags and one slightly slimmer less full bag! This is Grammercy Road by Gossamer Blue.  I love this collection and wish they were still around making more collections.  I didn't bust the bag but I did have fun and get some used up. The Stash Busting prompt was to use no right angle with  the exception of your photo and 12x12 sheet.  I started off promisingly but as I cut my triangles in half I created right angles.  Doh! I also got a few cork pieces (SpiegelMom Scraps) and some thin wood veneer (Color Cast Designs) used up.  I find both these materials hard to get on the page so I was rather chuffed to have used both on the same page! Next up a photo and title from one bag and some black and white scraps from another....

Skull and Cross Buns | 10th Birthday

Skull and Cross Buns have just turned 10 years old.  (Awesome giveaway here if you are interested.) To celebrate I pulled out my oldest SACB stamps.  These two bunting stamps are 8 1/2 years old.  I bought the small one first and then commissioned the bigger one.  The small one was a little bit too small to use on layouts...  I stamped out my bunting with a few shades of Distress Oxide inks and fussy cut them out.  I love my big Fiskars for fussy cutting.  The handles are comfortable and there is lots of blade to use. I added a little packaging technique on the background and some sparkly enamel dots to hide the joins of the bunting pieces. Thanks for stopping by!

Stick It Down | September Sketch

Here is my layout for Stick It Down this month. I had fun creating this sketch and tried to be a little bit different. I used Pink Fresh Studio supplies along with mists from Shimmerz and black thread from my stash.  My title is made from white foam stickers coloured with a black pen and topped with glossy accents.  It took a bit of a turn from the pale pastel I originally thought it would be as I carried on adding more and more black! Thanks for stopping by!

Insired By Marie | Lottie Loves Paper

I'm back with another layout using my Lottie Loves Paper 'Think Happy' kit.  I'm part of a really awesome team and this layout is inspired by my teammate Marie . She recently posted a layout using Paige Evans paper no.24 cut up in to triangles.  (Hers was pink so of course I switched up the colours!) I've used the add on stickers for my title and embellished with a variety of stickers from the kit. A few of the triangles are popped up on foam so there are varying heights on the page.  As always I love the shadows cast by the popped up elements. The layered butterfly stickers by Vicki Boutin felt a little too heavy for the page so I un-layered them and just used the vellum layer for a more delicate look. Thanks for stopping by!

Birds | Pretty My Page

For today’s layout for Pretty My Page I have used half of Tweet Tweet – a pre-cut cut file designed by Confessions Of A Paper Addict.   I’m all about stretching supplies so being able to get two layouts from one pre-cut has got to be a good thing, right?  You can get your pre-cut birds here . I’ve added two borders of white sewing to my white 12x12.   This adds detail and texture but still leaves the white space that I love. I pulled out some Pretty Little Studio stash.   I kept my supplies in a limited colour palette – mustard, red (and a few shades in between), a touch of black and maroon.   I picked out a flair button as I seem to collect them and not use them.   (My worst scrappy trait!)   I backed the bird cut file with two papers – one a mustard parquet wood grain and the other artistic poppies.   I didn’t like the amount of background paper showing on the poppy paper so I ended up cutting out the individual flowers and overlap...

Semi Final | Lottie Loves Paper

I've managed to find some energy and uncluttered desk space to scrap with my Lottie Loves Paper 'Think Happy' kit.  It seemed much more important than finishing off operation tidy up the craft room which is why I presume I will never ever get that tidy craft room I'm after! It's a simple layout.  I added texture to the white card with my sewing machine before gutting the heart patterned paper.  We all know paper like this is too good to be covered up so gutting it is essential!  It makes a lovely border and I still have a large chunk for a future layout. I've added a few stickers and a title - I did say it was a simple one.  I love it though, it's nice and clean and really appeals to my love of white space and careful use of colour. I couldn't pick it up on camera but I've added a load of a sparkle pen to highlight the stitching.  It's subtle but it catches the light beautifully.  This pen may become my new obsession!

Round Up | Everything Else I've missed!

The last three projects I've yet to blog...  First up is a mini album for Pretty My Page. You can read about this here . I was asked to design a sketch for UK Scrap Addicts and also to guest design for them. Here is my very literal take on the sketch! You can pop over here to get my take on sketches. And finally I seem to have missed blogging this cutie... Made with various Skulll And Cross Buns products and some Doodlebug papers.  Sequins, as always, from SpiegelMom Scraps. Thanks for stopping by!

Round Up | The Best Of The Rest!

Here are a few cards (and other projects) from the last few months...  Using rub ons from Paige Evans. Glorious sea gull in StickerKitten's Seaside Dream collection. Another for StickerKitten this time matched with kraft and gold paint. And a couple with StickerKitten Tropical Brights.
