Baby Box Frame

I was so pleased with how this turned out... so pleased in fact that I sourced more frames and have 8 waiting to be made up! I played around with the writing and fonts in Silhouette Studio until I was happy with the layout. I cut it on plain white card and dug through my Cocoa Vanilla stash for papers that were just right, which isn't hard because most Cocoa Vanilla papers are perfection. I added a few wood veneer and fussy cut some paper butterflies. Then I filled the frame with a selection of matching sequins. You can watch the process too... The only thing I need to work out is how to photograph work inside a frame! Linking up at Inspire Me Mondays Thanks for stopping by!

Quilting

I played along with Emma from Polly's Papercrafts quilt inspired challenge... I picked out this motif from the inspiration piece and went straight for the triangles paper from Dear Lizzy.  It was in my like for ever kit and I just adore it! I did my journaling on a cluster of labels that I designed for like for ever.  You can find out about them here . I love this grey and pastel theme - I must work with it more often!  I added some sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps (of course!)  The title is made from colour your own canvas alphas, and I added a little bit of Shimmerz Vibez to colour them up to match the background. I seem to be neglecting my blog at the moment but I am working on a new project called UK Scrap Addicts .  We were chatting during Zoe Guest's live stream and before I knew it I was heading up a new movement to promote UK Scrapbooking and give a new platform to showcase UK scrapers, designers and manufacturers and to encourage more folks to st

Beautiful Moment

Hi Folks, I'm here today using a mix of my like for ever kit, SpiegelMom Scraps sequins and flair from Accent Scrapbooking . The majority of the supplies came from my like for ever kit featuring Dear Lizzy.  The patterned paper was screaming out to be fussy cut! I love these flair.  You can find this pack here . I added a little colour to the washi tape with some Inktense pencils and a water brush. And also added a little colour to the fussy cut paper flower. And here is the layout in full... I used Lilac Twinkle sequin mix and the flowers from Sweet Pea . Thanks for stopping by!

Stick It Down

Here is the sketch I designed for Stick It Down for this month's challenge: And here is my take on the sketch: Here's the process: I've used Ashley Horton's Oakley Avenue from Pretty Little Studio.  I absolutely love this pattern so bought it in a paper, a vellum and an acetate finish. As I had used acetate and vellum I added very little glue and secured them to the page with machine stitching. I'd love to see you joining us at Stick It Down

Silly Boy

I am up on the like for ever blog today with this... For the details and process video head over here .

Light Up Flowers!

I recently got some new toys - namely some tiny LED stickers and copper tape from Chibitronics.  During my first session playing with them, I knew I wanted to try and light up some sequins... I cut a few flowers on my Silhouette Cameo and backed them with vellum.  I backed the negative of the flower with patterned paper.  I lay down my copper tape and LED stickers over the patterned paper.  When I offset the flowers slightly I managed to cover the majority of the copper tape and keep the nice aesthetic. I went for a multi-font title.  The pink and yellow would be too much for the whole sentence and I wanted my photo and the lights to remain the focus of the layout. I placed my battery behind the P of pick and when pressed all three of the flowers light up... I've used Moonshine Delight and Holiday Traditions for my sparkle.  I specifically picked Moonshine as it picked up the light beneath and magnified it. Here is the video... Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Challenge

like for ever run Sunday Challenges each week... today is a stash busting challenge.  Each project must contain birds, puffy stickers, stripes, gold and paint.  I have no problem adding birds to a layout, I squeezed 7 whole birds and a few part-birds too.  I will admit I had a few issues cutting through the paper and decapitating the drawings! I'm not usually a puffy stickers fan but these little flowers have really caught my affections...  Shimelle at her best I think. For my paint I chose a few mists and some gold paste.  I wasn't happy with any of the coral colours I had, they just didn't match the birds.  I mixed my own colour from 5 or 6 colours to get a colour I was happy with. And my stripes come in the form of a couple of pieces from the cut apart sheet. Here's the process video: Thanks for looking, and have fun with the challenge criteria...

Strawberry Bubblegum

I openly admit I don’t like pink.  I often get sequin mixes with pink in nonetheless, and usually struggle to use them to their best.  I fell in love with the greens in Strawberry Bubblegum and was determined to use the whole mix rather than just picking out the greens! Here is how it went... Pop over to the SpiegelMom Scraps blog for more and the process video
