Gnomes!!

I have a 'welcome' sign to share today... For me (a massive ribbon fan) it is always exciting when we get word from Ali at Crafty Ribbons that new ribbons are coming soon.  When I opened my parcel I giggled - garden gnomes!  Who'd have thunk it? But boy are they fun!  You can find them here .  My favourite is the bee ribbon - I think it'll be featuring heavily in my future work! Linking up at Inspire Me Mondays , Avenue 613 (gardens and bee) and Try It On Tuesday (bee)

Friday Smiles

Try as I might, I can never quite catch on camera just how orange the glow is... just how purple the shadows are... but I smile trying! Linking up at Annie's

Pegged! & Clouds

Two posts in one day?  Two layouts on one post?  What on earth is going on?!?! I discovered Cocoa Vanilla - a new Australian scrapbook paper manufacturer - and fell in love with both collections.  I ordered straight away and they arrived to the UK in less than a week.  I have been playing ever since and here are a couple of the results... It's normal for a big brother to cover his little sister in clothes pegs, isn't it? The papers, stickers and bigger cork stars are Cocoa Vanilla Flying High .  I supplemented the Cocoa Vanilla cork stars with a few smaller cork stars from my stash.  And I found alphas that matched perfectly - this is the reason I have a stash!!  I'd like to share this at Make My Monday as I used bright cheery colours and Stuck Sketches whose sketch inspired me. Next up is clouds.  I am loving cloud motifs at the moment! Again mainly Cocoa Vanilla goodies.  This time I added some of Crafty Ribbons ...

1st TEETH

Here is my first layout with my January Counterfeit Kit .  I've got to say, I love it!  There is no light here at all, it's so dull and dreary, so the photos are not the best.  I need some low light photography tips!! It's so simple and sparse but still has enough to excite my eyes.  I've used a good amount of stickers - big tick! The clouds and heart are from Things That Shine and the seam binding is from Crafty Ribbons .  (Crafty Ribbons are having a design team call - if you love working with ribbons please drop us a line.  All the details can be found here!) These butterfly stickers have been in my stash for years.  I remember buying them at The Craft Barn but can't work out exactly which year.  They have to be more than 10 years old.  Only two left now.  That makes me happy!! Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Smiles

This was the view out of my window a couple of days ago.  The photo doesn't quite capture how the white clouds in the middle were glowing.  Sharing with my friends at Friday Smiles

Just A Small One...

I'm playing along at Counterfeit Kit Challenge again this month. The kit to forge for August is from Studio Calico... My notes about the kit said; white, kraft, teal. yellow, stars, white with gold dots, coral-y, black and white words, feathers.  circles, postage stamps, clouds, mask, transparent, diamonds, doilies, wooden alphas. yellow and white fringe, pink twine. vellum, watercolour paper. There were a few extras listed for sale along side the kit, vellum and watercolour paper took my eye, I added them because when you make your own kit you can also make your own rules!  :) My papers include yellow, teal, kraft and coral.  I added a gold dot vellum and a cloud transparency.  I searched for anything 'doily-like' in my stash and this half sheet of gold foiled vellum is it - absolutely nothing else!!  I added a star mask too. I didn't think one set of alphas were enough, but I may have over done it!!  I'm not expecting to u...

Be A Rainbow In The Clouds

Welcome to my little corner of the web where today I am a stop on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Lesley . I have very much enjoyed my month as Guest Designer.  I have a few layouts finished and scheduled and a few left to make.  This layout was inspired by the first challenge... Challenge #1 Weather Related :   Use a weather Icon (sun, cloud, raindrops...) on your project And this layout has words!  I know - I didn't know I could do words either!!  :D I put a few sets of part-used alphas in to my Hi May kit with the intention of using them ALL.  This title happened to have a few 'used' letters so I improvised - I cut a 'u' down to make an 'r', the 'd' is a 'p' and the 'b' is actually 'q'. They were black and kraft and really didn't match so I gave them a few coats of gesso and sprayed them with grey silver mist. I commissioned my Pet Crocheter to make me so...
