Happy New Year

So after taking a blog break in December, I have decided how I'm going to go forwards regards my blog.  I'm aiming for one or two round-up posts per month along with my DT required blog posts.  Everything I make I post on my Instagram account which, frankly, is where I get the most views and interactions.  I don't want to turn my back on blogging completely.  I love having somewhere I can come and search and look back over all of my projects.  But I have come to the conclusion I just can't write full posts for everything any more. So here is a round-up of all of December's projects... Starting off with Glittery Hands Box makes... Pretty My Page layouts... A little bit of fancy wrapping! Sticker Kitten gift card holder: Skull and Cross Buns Advent Calendar: And all of the other stuff... the stuff that will now be in roundups rather than have individual posts! A fair few of these pr...

Chicken!

This layout uses supplies from lfe kit Carefree, sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps and a crochet piece from My Pet Crocheter... This chicken is so fun!! Thanks for stopping by!

Kites x2

You know when you think you've had a really good idea, but then don't like the out come as much as the version in your head?!  Yep, that is this layout... I love the kite cut files from The Cut Shoppe and really wanted to incorporate a crochet kite that My Pet Crocheter made. I used my like for ever kit and added in some Shimmerz Dazzlerz and ribbon from Crafty Ribbon.  The tiny square alphas are from Cocoa Vanilla Studios. You can watch the process here... Thanks for stopping by!

Gnomes!!

I have a 'welcome' sign to share today... For me (a massive ribbon fan) it is always exciting when we get word from Ali at Crafty Ribbons that new ribbons are coming soon.  When I opened my parcel I giggled - garden gnomes!  Who'd have thunk it? But boy are they fun!  You can find them here .  My favourite is the bee ribbon - I think it'll be featuring heavily in my future work! Linking up at Inspire Me Mondays , Avenue 613 (gardens and bee) and Try It On Tuesday (bee)

smile!

Um, I'm not very good at tidying up.  I am, as it turns out, very good at keeping every little piece of cardstock because it could be used one day. This card is made from snippets that I had kept.  I do get immense satisfaction from making something from bits that I don't need to re-cut - just use them as they are - but it was getting ridiculous!   These bits of card and packaging were saved in the epic clear out (that has now stalled as my health has, well, stalled too.) I added a crochet flower (by my Pet Crocheter) and some sequins (Pretty Pink Posh, Maggie Holmes and Spiegel Mom Scraps) Linking up at The Playground

Bracelets

I took these cords out of the fabric tags I used on my last layout .  You know me, I don't throw anything away...  I decided to make them in to bracelets.  And, what do you know, they fit me perfectly! I decided the plain cream was not enough for me so I used my inktense pencils to add some colour.  Inktense, once wet and dried, are permanent.  I added a few little crochet charms my Pet Crocheter whipped up and hey presto!  A wrist full of fun! I get a real kick making something from nothing, and from making something non-scrapbook-y with my Like For Ever scrapbook kit. Thanks for stopping by!

L O V E

This layout started as a card... The L O V E squares were a card but I realised it wasn't suitable for who it was meant for, so I made another one for them, and kept this one for me!  I cut it up with the idea of making a layered grid layout inspired by Susie Fish and Meaghen Calder . My wonderful Pet Crocheter came in handy and made a holey square for my neon gelli tag to peep through. Those gorgeous neon confetti hearts come from Things That Shine .  A combination of paper bags, envelopes, tags, off cuts and lace tissue make up the bulk of the layering.  A few cameo cuts painted with acrylic paint, some snippets of gelli printed ribbon and washi tape made up the rest. Oh, and gelli printed lace too! I also used up the rest of my Heidi Swapp photo corners.  Really satisfying to use them up! Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Tag - Crafty Ribbons Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my stop on the Crafty Ribbons Easter blog hop !  You should have arrived here from the lovely Cebelica's blog... My creation is an Easter tag.  I've used lace and bunny silhouette ribbon in baby maize and lime juice from Crafty Ribbons .  My Pet Crocheter whipped up a little bunny from some cotton yarn too.  Your next stop on the hop is Carole ... oh, and I believe you'll be needing this I to help you solve the anagram! Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Autumn

Here is a simple little mini album I put together with a kit from Things That Shine and some Autumn 2014 photos. I started by folding 5 book pages in half.  I reinforced the area the holes would be with washi and stab-stitched them together to form the base of my mini. I had some messy fun on the book pages using my Inktense pencils. The only thing I added to the kit was washi tape from my stash, some crochet bits, alphas and a yellow smiley face clip. And a close up collage... Squirrels, acorns, little labels - all things that make me happy! Entering at  Scribble and Scrap Crafts . Thanks for stopping by!

Be A Rainbow In The Clouds

Welcome to my little corner of the web where today I am a stop on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Lesley . I have very much enjoyed my month as Guest Designer.  I have a few layouts finished and scheduled and a few left to make.  This layout was inspired by the first challenge... Challenge #1 Weather Related :   Use a weather Icon (sun, cloud, raindrops...) on your project And this layout has words!  I know - I didn't know I could do words either!!  :D I put a few sets of part-used alphas in to my Hi May kit with the intention of using them ALL.  This title happened to have a few 'used' letters so I improvised - I cut a 'u' down to make an 'r', the 'd' is a 'p' and the 'b' is actually 'q'. They were black and kraft and really didn't match so I gave them a few coats of gesso and sprayed them with grey silver mist. I commissioned my Pet Crocheter to make me so...
