Hoppity!

Hoppity hoppity!!  :)

Hopeful you have arrived here from Fleur's blog as part of the Crafty Ribbons Easter Hop
If not and you've found yourself here wondering what on earth I'm on about (and let’s face it J you wouldn’t be the first!!) check out the Inspirations site for all the juicy details!

My project for the hop is

Easter bunting!

I cut three templates first - a triangle pennant, a bird and a heart.

Then I cut the pennant shapes from fibre ribbon, threaded them on to some 3mm satin and evenly spaced them.  I embellished each flag with some beads...

I backed the birds and heart on some thin white card and glued them to the centre of the pennants.

My supplies list: yellow fibre, pink fibre, lime fibre, 3mm satin, button box, white card, glue, beads, needle and thread.

At each stop on the hop there'll be a word to collect and a candy draw. I've got these gorgeous ribbons and buttons to give away...

To be in with a chance of winning this you just need to leave a comment at the end of this post telling me what your dream craft project would be...

My word is
WHY.

At the end of the blog hop you should have 20 words,  add them all together and jiggle them around to make a phrase.  Leave the phrase in the comments back at Crafty Ribbons Inspiration Blog to be in with a chance of winning a ribbon hamper from Crafty Ribbons and voucher from Lili Of The Valley

The blog hop will run until 6pm on Tuesday 2nd April and the winner, plus the winners of each of the Design Teams' Candy will be announced at 6pm on Wednesday 3rd April on the Crafty Ribbons Inspiration Blog

Now continuing on the Easter Hop, you need to head over to Carol's yummy blog...

If you lose your way you can go back to Crafty Ribbons Inspiration Blog to get the full list. Good luck everyone and thanks for hopping along with us!

p.s. We also have a new challenge starting at Crafty Ribbons Challenge today...

  25. Hi Laura. Most unusual bunting & so textural.
My dream project?....Difficult one as I love doing all sorts of things but I aim to create a new picture for a wall so I think actually getting around to that (rather than distracting myself with another birthday card - must know too many people!!!!LOL), would have to be it, I think.

  29. Thats a lovely banner you made Laura. Love the fibre ribbon you used. My dream project at the moment would to be to try my hand at an altered art project. I saw somewhere (i forget where - somewhere in blogland) an altered clock with different mediums used and it was stunning. I've never done anything other than a card and am too afraid to alter anything. So would be a dream project if I can ever pull it off. Maybe something with heaps of pink ribbons if I'm lucky enough to win this lot.

  41. Great idea to use the fibre ribbon as the bunting! Looks great.
My dream project at the moment is to make a huge burlap wreath to hang above the bench on my front porch! We have ordered 4 cubic yards of black wood mulch (arrives today) and this wreath will be the finishing touch to our "outdoor remodeling project".

Hello, Happy Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday !  As promised a picture of last Wednesdays 'work' finished off.  Post and more photos here . This week I'm showing off the beaded ATC I made... Tricky to photograph so your getting one with flash and one without... It was all parcelled up and sent off to Queen of Desks Julia .  Here is a basic of how it was made... (lots of waffle about wefts and warps!) I use a flexible beading needle.  It is mainly 'eye' so it is very easy to thread. And delica beads which are more regular and accurate than the better known seed bead.  They are slightly more rectangular than round so they line up better. Thread your needle with the weft thread.  (The cross ways thread that weaves back and forth.)  Pick up the beads... Pass the needlefull of beads underneath the warp (tight length ways) threads on the loom... ...and push each bead u...

Feathered Friends

A few feathered smiles for today! I love this little chicks tatty tail.  I can imagine it was packed in the nest and the long tail feathers got in the way a bit!! And our handsome robin... Two smiles for your Friday - Linking up at Friday Smiles :)
