Lottie Loves Paper | New Home Card

I pulled out the remnants of Jen Hadfield paper from my Lottie Loves Paper Think Happy kit.  It's perfect for a new home card...  I added a little touch inside... and whipped up a matching envelope liner... I used some circle dies to cut two feature pieces and backed them with red foam to give them dimension.  I love the little pop of colour this adds, you only see it from certain angles. A single fussy cut house layered on a thread nest tops it off. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapbooking | Love This

I was inspired by stash busting on Facebook to create this layout. I've used supplies from last November's Crafty Templates custom card kit and enamel dots and hearts from my stash. I recently blitzed my white card scraps.  I patch worked them together using my sewing machine and created 6 sheets of 12x12.  Ready made backgrounds with texture and interest perfect for creating clean and simple layouts on... although this one wasn't as CAS as I could go! I added in a few tangles of white thread to tie in the background sewing. Thanks for stopping by!

World Card Making Day

It was world card making day yesterday and I spent the day away from social media watching sport and happily crafting. Here are the fruits of my labour playtime... This one is made with Shimmerz, Altenew inks and W+9 stamps... This one is based on a Sandy Allnock sketch and uses a Concord and 9th stamp set and my Daniel Smith watercolours. And another with that same stamp set... because who can use a stamp once and put it away?! These two are are made with distress oxides, watercolour, inks... anything else I could find to throw at the paper and Pink Fresh Studio dies.   That's where I left it yesterday.  Today I decided to make the full colour card into a shaker card and also added sequins to the other card. Good fun!  Now I need to tidy up... Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty My Page | Paige Evans

Hi Folks!   I'm using another Paige Evans/Pretty My Page floral pre cut.   Paige does floral so well it’s always a pleasure to create with them. I started off with a layer of clear gesso on a sheet of white cardstock.   I then took some lemon yellow brusho and a water spritzer and had some fun.   I also made a panel of darker yellow brusho on a scrap of cardstock.   To get the darker colour I used more powder and less water.   I sprinkled some salt on to the wet paper which encourages texture to form as the piece dries. I used some bronze paper and the darker yellow piece to back the centre of the flower.   I then mounted the flower on some foam and centred it on the yellow background... well that was the aim.  It wasn’t quite central and it was stuck fast but we’ll fix that later. I mounted the photo on the scraps of yellow and adhered it to one side of the flower.   I used tiny brown alpha stickers to add my tit...

Lottie Loves Paper | Think Happy

Atchoo!  Oh, sorry.  I see to have sneezed stickers across my page! I like how it turned out, don't get me wrong!  I think I'm calling this a controlled sticker sneeze.  It is literally just stickers - all from Lottie Loves Paper's Think Happy kit - and a few enamel dots/shapes from my stash.  Each carefully placed inspired by an old sketch of mine. This may have started as a sticker busting exercise... total fail.  There are still loads of stickers left from the kit!  I was a little surprised actually.  This is layout number 7 using the kit and it's not even close to being finished.  I'm beginning to think it will streatch to at least that number again. Thanks for stopping by!

Stick It Down

Helloo!  It's October already - how did that happen?!  Here is Stick It Down's monthly sketch... This month's sponsor is Confessions Of A Paper Addict so I've used one of their cut files.  You can pick out Hexagon Background in the background... I've also used the negatives from the cut file as the main features and as a template for the photographs. I've embellished with a few copper paperclips and stickers along with two flair on thread nests. I attempted to use a black background but switched to white.  It needed some back though, so I went with matte enamel dots. I do love the contrast they add.  Thanks for stopping by and please link up at Stick It Down if you use this sketch this month.
