Hi Folks! I'm using another Paige Evans/Pretty My Page floral pre cut.
Paige does floral so well it’s always a pleasure to create with them.
I started off with a layer of clear gesso on a sheet of
white cardstock. I then took some lemon
yellow brusho and a water spritzer and had some fun. I also made a panel of darker yellow brusho
on a scrap of cardstock. To get the
darker colour I used more powder and less water. I sprinkled some salt on to the wet paper
which encourages texture to form as the piece dries.
I used some bronze paper and the darker yellow piece to back
the centre of the flower. I then mounted
the flower on some foam and centred it on the yellow background... well that
was the aim. It wasn’t quite central and
it was stuck fast but we’ll fix that later.
I mounted the photo on the scraps of yellow and adhered it
to one side of the flower. I used tiny
brown alpha stickers to add my title.
To address the wonkiness I trimmed a bit from each edge of
the 12x12 and mounted it on a sheet of kraft.
I trimmed freehand with scissors rather than using a guillotine. The lines were cut deliberately squiffy this
time so remounting it crooked couldn’t be an issue!
I added a little tag to the photo and some journalling to
the bottom. I then skipped around the
page with a twinkle pen adding little details of sparkle. I do like the little tiny details.
See you next time!
