Hello Desk-y Folks!
I'm trying to sort and organise my 12 x 12's so have treated myself to some new boxes.
They are smaller than the ones I have so I should be able to lift them without hurting myself! :) Yesterday I set about taking the easy peel labels off. Pfft! Easy peel my foot!
By the ended of the de-labelling session I was too tired to do anything else! Today as well as desk hopping, physio and watching Wimbledon, I will be sorting out my papers!
"No more tennis!! I'm taking over the widger!!"
Or maybe not!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Laura (and Billy!)
Those stickers are just unreal are'nt they. Beautiful little budgie. happy crafting jill #43
ReplyDeleteHi there. Nice to pop in and see your creative world this week. I won't stay long; don't want to give you my cold! Hope you have a good creative week though. And that you get the tv remote back too!
ReplyDeleteNeil # 33
Ha ha ha! Easy peel are rarely easy peel, completely agree! Good luck getting control of the remote control back!

Hi Laura, love the boxes, hate the labels. There is stuff you can buy, spray on, and remove the label without the hassle - the EM is my got to person for things like that ... his stash is full of useful stuff like that :) Oh, and that is one clever budgie! Happy WOYWW, enjoy the desk hopping and I'll be watching some of the tennis too, Elizabeth x #85
ReplyDeleteAw Laura - I almost cried, we had a Billy the Budgie too - looked exactly the same and was so tame. In the big birdcage in the sky now :( Di xx
ReplyDelete...Hi Laura...great storage boxes but yes so bloomin annoying when the labels rip and stick like hell...thanks for sharing today...Mel :) #46
ReplyDeleteNice Boxes!! I haven't seen anything like that here in Massachussetts! Those lables make me crazy too! ~Ginny #55
ReplyDeleteCan you get Really Useful Boxes (RUBs) in the US? I am sure they do a 12 x 12 one. I've got wire panels made up into shelves for my paper store.
DeleteShoshi
Lakeland does a good sticky stuff remover! But easy peel should be exactly that!!
ReplyDeleteI loved the pic of Billy - he looks a real character!! I've got a soft spot for budgies, they make me laugh!
Hugs, LLJ #60 xx
thanks for reminding me i need to get some of those boxes and it just so happens that i am doing the food shop near the local hobby craft this week lol

Hi Laura, Crafters Companion do 'Stick Away' which works really well and it takes sticky off scissors and other tools too but Lakeland's may be more cost effective. I think CCs is £5.99 a tin. Love the pic of Billy, how lovely is he? Thanks for the visit, have a Happy WOYWw, Anne x #49
ReplyDeletelove the bird. I bought some of the larger easy peel stickers on them too. Ended up laying them upside down and putting warm/hot water on them for a minute before I attempted to peel the sticker off and they came off easy that way. Wonder why they don't tell you that to begin with? ;- ) Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great day. Vickie #36
ReplyDeletehappy woyww, those boxes are really good, but yes the sticky stuff is, well sticky ;)
ReplyDeleteyour budgie has good taste if he is not watching the tennis ;) lol
happy crafting, mark
ROFL at your post this week, Laura!! Really funny. Love the way you took a photo of the dreaded label not coming off! I use Crafter's Companion Stick Away for stuff like that. It's amazing stuff. Labels that don't come off are one of my pet hate. I loathe labels on fruit too...
ReplyDeleteLove little Billy trying to take over the TV zapper too.
Have fun arranging your papers! Sorry the whole experience has been so exhausting. Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog which also made me laugh! The only way I find to lift the dreaded brainfog is to rest, rest, rest. What did your physio do to you to put you to sleep like that? I go off like that if I'm super exhausted after overdoing things. Hope they've got the right idea and aren't getting you to push yourself too much... Take care, and don't get yourself into the state I was in last week.
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshii #25
My physio is great, she understands and 'gets' M.E. She mainly gives me ultrasound and massage to whichever part of me is hurting the most, usually my back as my core muscles are quite pathetic!! Lx
DeleteYour budgie is very cute! Labels are a pain aren't they! happy wednesday, jenx
ReplyDeleteThose stickers drive me crazy too. Such a sweet little budgie, I'm a real bird person. I have a large parrot and when he gets the remote the buttons get eaten, that's why we have to hide it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Oh my goodness that bird is just too cute...You need some goofoff for that sticky mess! I love how they call it easy peel...LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, Thanks for popping by my blog and saying hi, I love the birdie what is his name? Oh and those blessed labels are horrid indeed. I use citro clean or eucalyptus oil on them and they come off like a breeze. hope the advice helps.
ReplyDeleteEliza #22
Thanks for dropping by ... that budgie is super cute. Labels are a pain I just use vege oil and that seems to get it off, a bit messy but does the trick.
ReplyDeleteSandra @99
Love Billy. Had a blue budgie myself years ago called Mickey, and then a canary who sang like an angel.
ReplyDeleteNo such thing as non-stick labels it's just a ploy to make us lose out tempers.
Thanks for popping by yesterday - much appreciated.

Ha ha lpve your little friend!! Those labels never do come off easily do they? Good luck sorting the papers, I lpove a good organising session myself, always makes me feel better!! Thanks for popping in to see me this week, Cindy #69
ReplyDeleteStickers are such a pain and Billy is a real cutie! Have a good week xx #104
ReplyDeleteHi Laura - thanks for popping by. I love the photo of billy - you just have to scrapbook that little gem. What a cutie he is! WOYWW Hugs from Helen 64
ReplyDeleteYep, don't you love those easy peel labels!! And little Billy bird is adorable!!! Maybe I'll put a photo of Tulip in my post next week. She just cracks me up. She's started laughing like me -- it's hilarious -- makes me even laugh harder (and louder).
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me already. I was out celebrating my Independence yesterday!
Hugs,

Brilliant! And yes please, a photo of Tulip next week! :)
DeleteBilly has to be male right? What is it with males and the remote!?!!??
ReplyDeleteIf I have stubborn labels I tend to use a little nail varnish remover on a cotton wool pad to help ease it off.
We're watching Wimbledon from downunder and keeping our fingers crossed for Andy...(in a hushed voice) he's looking good but don't want to jinx him!
Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend ~ enjoy :D
Billy is a girl... when we got her we believed she was a boy...
DeleteI too have been buying smaller boxes. The big ones I have are too heavy and I have a difficult time organizing. I'm thinking drawers are a better option! :^) patsy
ReplyDeleteGREAT photo of Billy! Oh, those naughty labels. I always used WD40 to get stickiness off . . . works a treat! Girls best friend for all sorts of things around the home!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Wimbledon (if you're allowed to by Billy).
Hugs
