WOYWW #149

My desk looks the same as it did last week!

Piles of stuff with a little space in the middle hollowed out for working in.

Look at that yellow sponge with dried paint on it - ruined!  Tut tut, Laura, tut tut!

Still a little stack of washi tape - unused as I don't really know what to do with it.

But it's not all bad.  The pack of chipboard shapes that have been out waiting to be used have been used.

Bizarrely there is still some chocolate left from a week or two back... not sure how that happened!!

I'm planning a big ol' tidy after completing the layout that I'm currently halfway through.  'Planning' a tidy and 'doing' a tidy are different things you understand!

If you are wondering why I'm showing you my desk hop over to Julia's.  I'm off for a snoop now, I didn't get round many desks last week.

  1. Hi Laura Your desk reminded me I have a layout to finish too! Tidying can wait I say - the chocolate should not :-) Happy WOYWW Helen 35

  2. Hi Laura your desk looks great & I popped over to see what you had done with the chipboard shapes. The layout is absolutely gorgeous, it has encourage me to rethink a wedding layout as I thought that would be too many flowers. But it's not. Thank you for the inspiration.

  6. I had a good laugh about your statement that planning a tidy and doing a tidy are two entirely separate things. Indeed. I like how the drawer is left pulled open for easy access to what is inside. I always push my drawers shut as I had a cat who would jump up onto the open drawer and on my lighter cabinets, the would then come crashing down. The cat passed over a year ago but I am still well-trained at closing up drawers. I never know what to do with Washi tape either. I try to think of it like a strip of plain or patterned paper but since it is sort of translucent, it doesn't work out that way. I like what other people do with it though.

  7. I love your bright white wall...it looks fresh and like it would really free your mind up to get seriously creative! I really like how wide your desk is and the little pull-out shelf...I had to install one on mine, but its awesome for putting away a work in progress when you get stumped or whatnot, huh? Take care!
