111th Post Giveaway + WOYWW

Hello Followers!  Hello WOYWWers!  Hello Everyone else!!

Now, I said I was going to celebrate my 100th post but it passed without any big hoo-haa.  I decided instead I would mark 111 and that is today's post.  I think 111 is quite an achievement for me - I honestly didn't think I'd get this far, or find as many blogs to follow, or find so many posts to inspire me, or enjoy blogging so much.  And I like that this post has fallen on a Wednesday because I love WOYWW posts and all the snooping that goes with them!

So here is today's desk pic for WOYWW.  What a mess!  Nothing much being made still, other than lists... I've written lots of lists about what needs to be done!  Loveliness from Ali, a box to be decorated (can't show you what's inside yet...), swarovski crystals, photos, water pots...

And also a little pile of goodies... it is my 111 giveaway gift.  Want to see?

Beads, buttons, birds, brads, butterflies, dragonflies, wings, hearts, stars, ribbon and a few card blanks.  11 things I love and hopefully the winner will too!!

I will pick a winner from the comments left on this post on the 11th of December.  It's the normal rules that you see all over the blogosphere...

1. Rule number one is usually 'be a follower of this blog' - I suppose actually you don't have to be a follower...  It'd be nice if you wanted to follow... If you don't follow you will need to remember to check back to see if you have won
2. Mention this on your blog - in a post or in the side bar - spread the word
3. Leave a comment on this post - I think it's fair to choose randomly one name out of a hat but if your comment makes me smile you will get your name put in the hat twice  :)

I'm off to look at other peoples desks now...
Another post coming later with some ribbony news...
Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Wow, how amazing that you've done so many posts! Many congratulations on reaching that milestone. Good things to snoop about on your desk today - I hope you get lots of folk entering your giveaway. I'm not going to enter as I'm not a cardmaker/scrapbooker, someone elee can have a chance to win instead :)

  10. Great desk, love the washi tape storage stick. I won't go in the contest today as i have a room bursting with items and my New Years resolution is to use some of it up and cut back on what enters. If it isn't a non consumable other than glue, cardstock or ink refills, it is not coming in.

My only exceptions will be the 4 annual scrapbook sales in my LSS parking lot as there are tables that sell hings for pennies...literally pennies.

  20. 'Legs eleven'. A clever use of all the 11s. Well done on all those posts. It's a lovely gift and very generous of you, but I am not adding my name to the contest as I am having a major sort out, and getting rid of a lot of 'stuff' before I have anything else new. I am sure someone else will thoroughly enjoy using it. Thanks for popping by my blog today. I do love having visitors!

  22. Congratulations on 111 posts and also on a bright and attractive desk! Your giveaway looks very generous and lovely.

Thank you for your lovely comment, and thank you for being yet another one "giving me permission" to do what I want to do rather than what I ought to do lol! You know how it is - you feel a bit better and need to take full advantage of it, and I'm so enjoying being able to sit at my desk and be really creative again! It's such a lovely project too, because it's all about my wonderful Dad.

    Happy WOYWW,

  23. Congratulations, Laura, on your 111th post! Every day it's a surprise that people visit, isn't it? I'm so amazed by that and how much fun it is! Your desk looks great and your prize is very generous. I'm "over endowed" with stuff I've still to use (shame on me), so please don't put me in the hat, leaves more room for someone else!

Have a great week! Darnell #54

Hello, Happy Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday !  As promised a picture of last Wednesdays 'work' finished off.  Post and more photos here . This week I'm showing off the beaded ATC I made... Tricky to photograph so your getting one with flash and one without... It was all parcelled up and sent off to Queen of Desks Julia .  Here is a basic of how it was made... (lots of waffle about wefts and warps!) I use a flexible beading needle.  It is mainly 'eye' so it is very easy to thread. And delica beads which are more regular and accurate than the better known seed bead.  They are slightly more rectangular than round so they line up better. Thread your needle with the weft thread.  (The cross ways thread that weaves back and forth.)  Pick up the beads... Pass the needlefull of beads underneath the warp (tight length ways) threads on the loom... ...and push each bead u...

Hoppity!

Hoppity hoppity!!  :) Hopeful you have arrived here from Fleur 's blog as part of the Crafty Ribbons Easter Hop .  If not and you've found yourself here wondering what on earth I'm on about (and let’s face it J you wouldn’t be the first!!) check out the Inspirations site for all the juicy details! My project for the hop is         Easter bunting!  I cut three templates first - a triangle pennant, a bird and a heart.        Then I cut the pennant shapes from fibre ribbon, threaded them on to some 3mm satin and evenly spaced them.  I embellished each flag with some beads...       I backed the birds and heart on some thin white card and glued them to the centre of the pennants.   My supplies list: yellow fibre , pink fibre , lime fibre , 3mm satin , button box , white card, glue, beads, needle and thread.   ...

Feathered Friends

A few feathered smiles for today! I love this little chicks tatty tail.  I can imagine it was packed in the nest and the long tail feathers got in the way a bit!! And our handsome robin... Two smiles for your Friday - Linking up at Friday Smiles :)
