Woop Woop! WOYWW 208!

Here we are - 4 year anniversary.  I've not been joining in that long but since I've found Julia and WOYWW I've had huge enjoyment in joining in and snooping other peoples desks!  I want to say thank you to Julia for hosting - you are pretty awesome!  :)

Here is this weeks unloved desk.  Life and a lack of energy have kept us apart for a few days.  The washi is in the wrong order, the button boxes are wonky, the dictionary is the wrong way up, and there is a birthday bag plonked haphazardly on the cutting mat.  (Had a fab birthday - full of sunshine and cake!)  You might also spot a couple of ATC envelopes... One for the person above me on the list and one for the person below.  I would love to have made more but hey that's life.  I have already swapped one with Twiglet/Jo and hers is gorgeous!  I'll share it next week as I haven't taken a photo yet...

Again thanks to Julia for hosting and thanks to everyone who stops by and comments :)

Happy Birthday WOYWW x

  6. I wouldn't say unloved!!! I think it looks well-cared for! Happy WOYWW, and thanks for stopping by...knowing another flautist is out there, watching to see if it gets moved, will force me to play during the summer! Well, that, and how hysterically funny my husky is when I play...always a cheerful event!

  20. I know I’m a day late but I’m trying to make it around everyone this week.
It’s going to take some time, but I wanted to say that it’s amazing that the internet can bring together so many likeminded people and I’m grateful that WOYWW has also brought along so many new friends, thanks to Julia.

Well, that looks like it’s been a very busy table to me Laura. Glad you had sunshine on your birthday, we don’t seem to be seeing very much of it at the moment.

Enjoy your weekly snoop, especially as we’re celebrating WOYWW’s 4th Anniversary.
    Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 159

Hello, Happy Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday !  As promised a picture of last Wednesdays 'work' finished off.  Post and more photos here . This week I'm showing off the beaded ATC I made... Tricky to photograph so your getting one with flash and one without... It was all parcelled up and sent off to Queen of Desks Julia .  Here is a basic of how it was made... (lots of waffle about wefts and warps!) I use a flexible beading needle.  It is mainly 'eye' so it is very easy to thread. And delica beads which are more regular and accurate than the better known seed bead.  They are slightly more rectangular than round so they line up better. Thread your needle with the weft thread.  (The cross ways thread that weaves back and forth.)  Pick up the beads... Pass the needlefull of beads underneath the warp (tight length ways) threads on the loom... ...and push each bead u...

Hoppity!

Hoppity hoppity!!  :) Hopeful you have arrived here from Fleur 's blog as part of the Crafty Ribbons Easter Hop .  If not and you've found yourself here wondering what on earth I'm on about (and let’s face it J you wouldn’t be the first!!) check out the Inspirations site for all the juicy details! My project for the hop is         Easter bunting!  I cut three templates first - a triangle pennant, a bird and a heart.        Then I cut the pennant shapes from fibre ribbon, threaded them on to some 3mm satin and evenly spaced them.  I embellished each flag with some beads...       I backed the birds and heart on some thin white card and glued them to the centre of the pennants.   My supplies list: yellow fibre , pink fibre , lime fibre , 3mm satin , button box , white card, glue, beads, needle and thread.   ...

Feathered Friends

A few feathered smiles for today! I love this little chicks tatty tail.  I can imagine it was packed in the nest and the long tail feathers got in the way a bit!! And our handsome robin... Two smiles for your Friday - Linking up at Friday Smiles :)
