WOYWW 221

This WOYWW *sigh*  I'm working on Christmas cards.  (It's not just you Julia)

I know it's not too early but it feels wrong to me... it's August!  Anyway I got a few done yesterday and hopefully I'll get a few more done today after I've had my physiotherapy... although there is a chance that I'll sleep all afternoon instead of being creative!

See you at your desk :)

    1. Crating is thirsty work!! :)
The idea is if I get absorbed in creating I won't get up to get a drink - if it's there I'll drink it. It clearly didn't work because both bottles are full :/
I'll be by your desk soon x

    1. Ah, but I don't do Halloween (never have) so I guess the creative energy you spend there I add to my Christmas creativity... it does still feel early though!

  6. Okay, reposting because I'm not sure if mine will show up. Your blog reset while I was typing. Weird? Okay... nap sounds good. And I really need to get on my Christmas cards. Technically I only have 89 days until they go in the mail. Now aren't you glad you're working on them LOL Creative Blessings! Kelly #107

  8. Thanks for the visit already. The secret to good sales at a market is knowing your customer...in this case I was invited by a Jewish student to take a table at their new year market. I know they struggle to find certain cards for certain celebrations and birthdays in the shops, so I made appropriate congratulations and birthday cards.

  9. oohoooo, is that button boxes in the top left corner, or little containers with cute button type handles...anyway, made me look! Had a look at your link too, could do with pictures so I could understand what was happening, I wasn't sure what you had to fill in on the lines_____________ I'm a rubbish reader! Your fluffy topper look lovely! Happy WOYWW!

  10. I love those gorgeous drawers. You have such pretty Christmas pieces over there. I've looked in my local scrap booking store and they are all boring and staid. I love a fun Christmas card. I'll have to keep an eye out for some like yours. Of course, I won't start making them until just before Christmas and have a mad panic, but that's me.
    Have a great week.

  12. Oh I'm thinking I should get a wriggle on with Christmas designs but I want to hang on to summer for as long as possible.
Since arriving back to the UK from Australia the weather has been fantastic. I'm not sure what winter will bring.
Your desk looks very organised and obviously its very productive!
Thanks for visiting me earlier and for sharing your space.

WOYWW 159

Hello, Happy Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday !  As promised a picture of last Wednesdays 'work' finished off.  Post and more photos here . This week I'm showing off the beaded ATC I made... Tricky to photograph so your getting one with flash and one without... It was all parcelled up and sent off to Queen of Desks Julia .  Here is a basic of how it was made... (lots of waffle about wefts and warps!) I use a flexible beading needle.  It is mainly 'eye' so it is very easy to thread. And delica beads which are more regular and accurate than the better known seed bead.  They are slightly more rectangular than round so they line up better. Thread your needle with the weft thread.  (The cross ways thread that weaves back and forth.)  Pick up the beads... Pass the needlefull of beads underneath the warp (tight length ways) threads on the loom... ...and push each bead u...

Hoppity!

Hoppity hoppity!!  :) Hopeful you have arrived here from Fleur 's blog as part of the Crafty Ribbons Easter Hop .  If not and you've found yourself here wondering what on earth I'm on about (and let’s face it J you wouldn’t be the first!!) check out the Inspirations site for all the juicy details! My project for the hop is         Easter bunting!  I cut three templates first - a triangle pennant, a bird and a heart.        Then I cut the pennant shapes from fibre ribbon, threaded them on to some 3mm satin and evenly spaced them.  I embellished each flag with some beads...       I backed the birds and heart on some thin white card and glued them to the centre of the pennants.   My supplies list: yellow fibre , pink fibre , lime fibre , 3mm satin , button box , white card, glue, beads, needle and thread.   ...

Feathered Friends

A few feathered smiles for today! I love this little chicks tatty tail.  I can imagine it was packed in the nest and the long tail feathers got in the way a bit!! And our handsome robin... Two smiles for your Friday - Linking up at Friday Smiles :)
