First up is my desk...
Hmm. Perhaps the less said the better! I really should have a sort out but I fancy desking instead!
Next I want to share my card deck swaps (deskers don't have to stay for this bit but I reckon you'd enjoy joining in with us, which is why I'm including it in this post)
You can read about the swap here on Jessica's blog and sign up here. Basically, we take a deck of cards, add paint and/or paper, then add a positive sentiment to each card. Post them to Jessica who shuffles them and sends back 52 different cards from different artists (yes, you are an artist!) from all over the world.
These few are ones I have picked out to display first. I'll swap them round after a few weeks. Do you like my domino pegs? :)
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll at least consider joining us for the card swap - it's like a super sized ATC swap, and all WOYWWer's know they are fun!
See you at your desk
x
Oh what a fun idea. I've really enjoyed the WOYWW ATC swaps. Love the results.

Love those cards and the domino pegs - that's a great idea! But what caught my eye most of all was the pile of yellowy orange ribbons in the first photo :-) Lovely colours, what have you been doing with those then?
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ 32 xxx
Oh yeah, I made a chicken! :) unfortunately I can't share it until half way through December
DeleteHi Laura, I guess I'm late too but better late than never as they say. I try to visit as many desks as I can and I know others do the same so trying to do them all in one day is almost impossible anyway, so I shouldn't worry Lol! It's also fun to think that when you are commenting on the blogs some of the deskers will be fast a sleep in bed and when you are going to bed they will be getting up to start their comments, it's a small world. Happy crafting, Angela x 39
ReplyDeletePS I will be back later to have a better look at the card swap x
I'd love it if you joined us for the deck swap :)
DeleteLove the deck of card you have altered, they look fab and the swap looks like such a fun thing to do. You are never too late to visit a desk... sometimes you find stuff that others don't get to see by being late!! LOL Annette #31
ReplyDeleteWhat a collection of creative happenings! I just don't know where to start looking. I love desk shots where I get to really peek at what people have and are doing. I'm crafty nosey I guess! Thanks for the visit!
ReplyDeleteAngie #53

Thanks for letting me look over your shoulder,
Have a good week,
Sorry I'm late but I take my time going through them all. (I enjoy reading all the blogs and look at the photos)

ReplyDeleteHi Laura, still on catch-up after Blogger stopped play. Judging by your desk I would say you are busy with lots going on at the moment but then decorating 52 cards means an awful lot of creating. They are fabulous and I do like your domino pegs - a great way of displaying them. Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Elizabeth x #70
ReplyDeletegreat looking desk. I can't understand how people can create when it is so neat and tidy. Love all the ATC! I love swaps too! Currently part of one making cards on Facebook and another we are making calendars so I have to make 12 of the month of July and December. Fun! Thanks for coming and visiting my desk this week. I am so late getting around but it seems something always gets in my way of desk hopping! Have a great rest of the week. Vickie #43
ReplyDeleteAs an ex Domino Diva I love your pegs! The cards are a lovely idea and if I wasn't so busy I would join in, maybe later.
ReplyDeleteToday I had to tidy my room a little (read a lot here) and I ended up producing some cards so it worked. Thanks.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me. Sorry I am so very very late - Neet xx
Laura, what a smashing idea for card swaps, but oh it seems like a lot of work, I love the sentiment on the card in the middle of the bottom pic, 'Either you run the day or the day runs you' I need that somewhere that I can see it regularly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my page and your praise for my cards,
Chris #8
Love all the ATCs and since I am so late I got to see a bunch of your cards too! Love the one with the teeny tiny presents along the edge. Just so cute!
ReplyDeleteNumber only verification has returned so I'm jumping on it!
Happy (late but determined to finish) WOYWW!
