I've been playing with my counterfeit kit again. There are a couple of sheets left which I am unsure how to use. Rather than try and work it out today I just put them to one side and made this instead!
I kind of followed the sketch from Sketch'n'Scrap...
But went a bit freestyle with it too!
I used some happy happy happy ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. It's the first time I've used it I think. So far it has been too precious to cut!
And I also layered in some grey cotton ribbon.
The alphas are Amy Tan woodgrain thickers, at least they were before I gessoed them! I have two packs, both of which came as part of something rather than me buying them, and I'm really struggling to use them. I decided to gesso them and then make them match the two tone heart paper using acrylic paint. I can see the rest of them being used up this way... they can match any and every project with the amount of paint I own!!
Linking this up at Sketch'n'Scrap!
Another fab LO. Are you putting the LO into an album?

This is so sweet. Love the use of so little color - makes the colors of the photos really pop.
ReplyDeletewhat a great layout and a super use of all those softer grey tones - looks fab. Really like what you did with the letters - will have to hold onto that idea
ReplyDeleteLove your adaptation of the sketch!! I know exactly how you feel about the scraps -- guess I need to learn how to get more creative to try and use mine together. I just pull out more stuff too use with pieces and try to dwindle them down one embellishment at a time. Anyhow, your page is fabulous!
