Another of the Easter cards I made... this one uses scrapbooking supplies that were on my desk at the time...
Super simple, just how I like it! And I used another of those adorable mini paperclips. I am so in love!!
How do you feel about the peel off sentiment? I know they are old and out of fashion for most people, but I still think they have a place in crafting...

The last of the batch of Easter cards, this is made from some tissue I used to soak up extra ink when I was spray misting!
I hate wasting things so I tend to swoosh some paper around in the 'over spray' on my craft mat. I wondered what would happen if I used this embossed tissue paper, so I gave it a try and it turned out nicely.
I used Swiss dot and saddlestitch grosgrain ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to make a little bow and sat my sentiment underneath. This is one of those times when peel offs are perfect - I could not have rubber stamped on to the tissue as it is textured, alpha stickers would take up too much space, handwriting would be tricky because of the texture and materials - peel offs to the rescue!!
I'd like to enter this card at Avenue 613.
Thanks for stopping by!
lovely Easter cards, very fresh looking, love the effect with the tissue xx Amanda
ReplyDeleteLoving the Easter cards.
ReplyDeleteI use peel offs, but only because I have a fair few. Wouldn't look to buy more.
Hope you have a nice day. Sue

I think you have made a good case for those peel offs. Never heard of them, but they look like something I would appreciate, and (sad, but true) probably hoard. Beautiful cards. Happy Friday and Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteLaura, I love both your cards, they are absolutely beautiful and great idea to emboss the tissue. Thanks for joining us at 613 Avenue Create this week and I hope you'll join us again soon.

Both cards are fabulous! Nothing is is old or out of style if you can use it to enhance your design. I think your sentiment is great and work fabulously with your design! Thanks for dropping this off by our house here at 613 Avenue Create!
