Hi Friends! I'm here today to share a craft hack...
I've had my eye on some cork hearts with gold flecks in them, but each time I've tried to buy them online they are sold out. I put my thinking cap on and came up with a plan to make my own... in short; one pack of the gorgeous chunky cork hearts from SpiegelMom Scraps, some two way glue (I used Tombow) and some foil or gold leaf.
I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I experimented with polka dots and a bigger smudge of glue too...
I'm not keen on my journalling showing so I made a little pocket to hide a journalling card in. I always have some glassine bags on hand. You can easily change the size with few lines of sewing.
I was aiming for a band across the page, and a wordy title mixing lots of different fonts and alphas.
A touch of machine stitching, a few layers... it was hard breaking in to the kit as all of the papers were so beautiful - too beautiful to cut!
I used a gold mirrored word sticker... I'm a big fan of this type of sticker!
I thought I was finished at that point but Mum said the top corner needed something...
And she was right.
You can find my supplies in the SpiegelMom Scraps shop and if you use the code Laura15 can bag yourself a discount!
Thanks for joining me today!
Your cork hearts are gorgeous. Hugz
