Hello.

Here is an un-blogged layout from last year.  The main supplies were a winners prize.  I also used a 'HELLO.' packing tag from Cocoa Daisy, a snippet-y cut off strip and a paper envelope. The journalling is safely tucked away in the envelope.  I'm really enjoying working with grey at the moment.  It's proving to be inspiring for me, and I wouldn't have thought I would say that! And of course that little face on the photo is always inspiring!  Love him.  He is one today - how did that happen?! Linking up at The Playground Thanks for stopping by!

Texture Bubbles

Some art to share with you all today... The canvas is 24" x 36" ish.  (The photos are taken on different days in different light, I struggled to get photos I was happy with.) Basically, I messed around creating texture and then added some paint.  I'm sure a different artist or an expert would go in to great detail and talk about technique and the thinking behind the painting.  I didn't really think about anything in particular, I just created with no goal or aim in my mind. I had fun.  I used colours that took my fancy not worrying if they matched or not. I tried to create as much texture as possible. And I added neon pink - just because! I think this is the way I need to paint.  To just paint instead of thinking. What do you think? It's hanging above my TV and I often find myself just staring at it! Thanks for stopping by!

Beaded Snoopy For Emmy

Here is a layout showing a Snoopy I beaded a few years back.  Looking now I wonder why I didn't use any beads on the layout!  All supplies from my January Counterfeit Kit , except the gold washi. Love the gold thickers! All the card layers are cut from one sheet.  I'm surprised how far it is stretching. Those word stickers that I will never use?  Well I've cut them in to individual letters and slowly but surely I will use them up!!  I think they look quite cute now actually. Using the Sketch N Scrap sketch rotated 90 degrees. Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Smiles

This furry chap is Onxby VI.  You may have seen yesterdays layout about the Onxby dynasty?  My Grandfather had a bear with a growler.  They called him Honky as that was the noise he made.  As Gramps learnt to talk he pronounced it Onxby - it stuck.  My Mum has an Onxby, as did my uncle.  I have one, as does one of my cousins.  My Gramps is no longer with us but I have a letter from him saying to ensure each generation has at least one Onxby.  It is my nephews first birthday next week, and Onxby VI will be moving in with him.  He was eager to be wrapped up as you can see top corner!  I've embroidered his foot and told the story.  I think Gramps would be happy that the fourth generation now has an Onxby. Linking up for my weekly dose of Friday Smiles and at Planet Penny (who supplies the cotton yarn for the blanket we used for the photo shoot!)

Onxby

This layout has journalling!!  I know, I'm shocked too! Please excuse the glossiness of the photograph - this is the best shot I could get with the light as it was.  Bring on spring and summer! The title is Onxby - the journalling explains why... Buttons and sequins originally from a Things That Shine kit.  Gorgeous sheer dots ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. The pink bow garland is also from Things That Shine. I'll erase the lines in a couple of days when there is no chance of ink smudging, I've smudged so many times that I'm always scared when it comes to erase the lines! I'd like to entering this at Show Us Your Stuff with my handmade item the garland.  I started off following the sketch faithfully but when I had finished I realised I've changed quite a bit!  I may well be disqualified for straying too far... Thanks for stopping by!

WOYWW

Happy WOYWW lovely deskers! Here is my desk at close of play yesterday... I have printed my December photos and I'm working my way through my take on December Daily - December Nearly Daily!  It's just documenting my nephews first Christmas. Also note the 128 pairs of scissors scattered across the desk *grins* Thanks for stopping by and see you at your desk !

Welcome Home

This is the second layout with my January Counterfeit Kit .  I used a sketch from White With 1 & Sketchabilities,  (although I won't be entering to their challenge - I just loved the sketch!) I do intend to enter at Scrap Our Stash whose challenge is to use stash beginning with the letters in twine.  I've used; T for templates - used to make the circles on the background. W for writing - the background is covered in writing. I for ink - silver grey ink splatters. N for new paper - the flower patterned paper was a Christmas present. E for enamel dots. Pencil circles, fussy cutting, glittery alphas and my beloved enamel dots... I tried to use the enamel dots to spread the colour around the page.  The gold glitter of the title is repeated at the bottom cluster and to the right of the photo.  And the lime colour in the buds is repeated at both of the fussy cut roses. The ink splatters don't show too well on the photos.  They are subt...
