Family Love

Here is layout number two from my counterfeit kit - On The Cutting Mat.  This one uses no patterned paper and no inks... I have simply layered up washi tape, a border strip, ribbons and lace to give my photos something to sit on.  I've used a couple of photo corners, puffies from Evalicious and some Lawn Fawn sequins.  And a paperclip.  I got a couple of packs of small coloured paperclips from Doodlebug.  You'll see them a lot over the next month or so...  I am obsessed with them - they are perfection!! I tried for tonnes of texture below my photos... tick! Thanks for stopping by

Friday Smiles

I have good parents.  Randomly they will come home with presents for me, usually flowers.  This beauty came last week.  Despite my M.E. being a pain I did manage to photograph them.  Unfortunately this week when I put the photos on the computer they were blurry as I couldn't hold the camera still due to the shakes.  This was the only ones to come out nicely... and isn't it a beauty?!  I must find a steady day for another photo shoot... Orchid Love

I am up on the Crafty Ribbons Inspirations blog today sharing this little layout... Let me walk you through...  India ink splatters in a few shades of pinky purple.  Pencil drawn circles and tissue paper circles along with stapled thread to build some background interest.  Fabric, felt and lace make up the main piece with my part matted photo, and the title stitched on top.  I added a few tabs and snippets of ribbon too... I created a cluster at the bottom with tissue circles and the same ribbons too. My Crafty Ribbons supplies are; lace , Swiss dot ribbon , heart ribbon . Thanks for stopping by!

Here is my first layout using On The Cutting Mat - my counterfeit kit for March.  Today I am scrapping the everyday little things... I've splashed the washi and rub ons around.  No fear!  I still don't know if I actually like rub ons - they never go on perfectly - and these seemed a little wrinkly. I also busted out my pan pastel.  I realised I have no idea what to do with them so I just ran some along the torn edge of my paper and pushed some in to the lace.  I hoped it would leave a lace pattern - it didn't.  But it did colour my white lace nicely, so I'm happy with that.  It is much softer than a regular chalk.  I'm going to watch a few youtube videos to see what it can do... So, the layout is about a pod cast I listen to, The Paperclipping Round Table .  This one particular episode was striking things in me and I started to make notes.  I washi taped the notes to the back of my layout so I can remember the wisdomou...

Happy Desk Day lovely people!! Here is my embarrassment desk... Piled with toys, half-dones, to-dos, tools that haven't been put away and, perhaps funniest of all, peeking out from all the mess is a mug that says something about being tidy!!  (I am feeling seriously blessed looking at this though - moaning about mess is a first world problem!) I will address this mess but, first, I wanna see your mess !!! Thanks for stopping by!

On The Cutting Mat

So here is my counterfeit kit for the month of march. Yep, we are a way through the month already, I am a little late, but that is how it has gone. So be it. The kit to forge this month is ' a piece of cake designs ' January kit.     My notes on the kit read: wood, cork geometric, floral, ditsy navy, soft teal, black & white, yellow, pumpkin. Gelatos, sequins, ephemera, frames, clips, flair, doily, washi, ribbon, lace .   My notes from the blog hop read: Lynette - name it, love it, do a photo shoot with props and the works!  Crush on it!! On Your Engagment

Hi Guys, today I have a clean and simple engagement card to share... I've used two pieces of Crafty Ribbons lace and teamed them with the tiny heart buttons ... I've just stocked up as they are a really useful stash item! The card is based on this one from Muse .  I intended to play along with the challenge but didn't get it made in time! Thanks for stopping by!
