Christmas Cards XIV

Finishing off my run of Christmas cards here are the last three... Green wired ribbon , a peel off and a santa hat . Ribbon and a sparkly poinsettia. A wreath made from sequins and a lovely bow .

WOYWW 286

Well, the last desks of November as Julia tells us.  Nothing Christmassy on mine at all this week... I'm finishing off my card deck today.  Sticking my details on the back of each card.  It is a drag but it is better than handwriting your name 55 times.  By the end of that task I was convinced I was spelling my own name wrong!  Note the little ring of talc on the side of the work surface; I am incapable of using glue without getting it all over my fingers/hands/elbows and the talc un-stickies the stickiness so I don't leave gluey fingerprints over everything! When that is done I have 3 albums worth of 12x12 layouts (the bear box is full!!) to put back in their albums.  Yesterday we got them all out and I sorted them in date order according to the photos.  Perhaps this is why some people like to scrap chronologically?!   See you at your desk!

Christmas Cards XIII

A couple more Christmas cards for you today... A circle of sequins makes a wreath, and add a bow . Ribbon and a sequin.

Christmas Cards XII

Two more clean and simple Christmas cards to share... Yeah, this is just me playing with washi tape!  :D Snowflake sequins and a bow .

Christmas Cards XI

A tree and a snowman are todays subjects... The tree is a glittered triangle sold as bunting, covered in gem baubles. Two white buttons and a snippet of ribbon for a scarf.

Christmas Cards X

Two more Christmas cards today... A tree bark reindeer standing on watercoloured ground with a peel off. A peel off and a paper clip robin with his tummy coloured in!

Friday Smiles

Today I found this on pinterest... Yep, I hope this is true! Linking at Friday Smiles

Christmas Cards IX

Post number nine of my Christmas card shareathon! A string of wooden 'lights' and bells with a peel off. A holly leaf , a berry button tied with a tiny 3mm ribbon bow and a sentiment.

Christmas Cards VIII

Two more CAS cards... Two hanging felt hearts with a sentiment. Santa star baubles with hand drawn strings and a peel off.

Christmas Cards VII

Perhaps two of my favourites to share today... Tiny snowman circles from deep in my stash, turned in to baubles with the addition of a hanging thread. Gorgeous glittered thickers, again turned into hanging ornaments with drawn on.  I love the contrast of the colours on this one.

Christmas Cards VI

Day six of the Christmas card sharing... Christmas heart ribbon and a reindeer made from tree bark. Glittery gem studded letters stickers and a silver pen.

Christmas Cards V

A couple more... A string of tiny jingle bells A sweet vellum tree and ribbon .

I love this ruffle!

Again I've made a layout with no words.  I don't set out to, it just happens. There is a tag in the gorgeous green flowery envelope which will eventually have a poem written on it.  On my list of thirty before 30  have 'write a poem that you are happy with' - it's sort of half done and I'm sort of half happy with it... Love the ruffle!! All of the bits I used to make this came from Things That Shine with the addition of the green strips which were snippets rescued from the recycling bin! Sharing at the Playground

Christmas Cards IV

I'm tutting to myself today - I had to look up the Roman numeral for four!! A robin paper clip and a peel off (well, two!) A strip of vintage Christmas ribbon and a super glittery tree

Christmas Cards III

Welcome to day three of me going card crazy! Taffeta ribbon and a santa hat . Sparkly ribbon, a square of card that must be 12 years old, and a deer from That Craft Place.

Christmas Cards II

Two more cards today... A strip of ribbon and some wooden bells Some silver spray ink and a reindeer button 'rudolphed' by adding some red glitter glue to his nose!

Pencils make me Happy

Here is a box of pencils happiness...  They are Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils and they are gorgeously vibrant. Sharing this box of happy at Friday Smiles

Christmas Cards I

I went off card making in a big way, but come Christmas I always get asked for some, so I settled down to make some.  I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed the making sessions.  Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to share the Christmas cards I have made this year.  Most are clean and simple - or even super-simple - and some are a variation on a theme.  I tend not to make the exact same card twice.  Here are the first two... A row of five presents with tiny hand tied 3mm ribbon bows. Two lengths of ribbon and double sided sticky tape.  (I did say simple was my thing!)

WOYWW & Card Deck Swap

First up is my desk ... Hmm.  Perhaps the less said the better!  I really should have a sort out but I fancy desking instead! Next I want to share my card deck swaps (deskers don't have to stay for this bit but I reckon you'd enjoy joining in with us, which is why I'm including it in this post) You can read about the swap here on Jessica's blog and sign up here .  Basically, we take a deck of cards, add paint and/or paper, then add a positive sentiment to each card.  Post them to Jessica who shuffles them and sends back 52 different cards from different artists (yes, you are an artist!) from all over the world. These few are ones I have picked out to display first.  I'll swap them round after a few weeks.  Do you like my domino pegs?  :) Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you'll at least consider joining us for the card swap - it's like a super sized ATC swap, and all WOYWW er's know they are fun! See you at your desk x

Fairy Wings and Perfect Curls

I may have a new favourite layout... ...although I often get new favourites, I think this one may stick around for a while. I made a banner out of netting and sequin waste.  Lots of dimension. I think I like it so much because it is truly different from anything I've seen. All of the bits are from Things That Shine , apart from a few enamel dots (still obsessed with them) and the pink heart pins (free on a crochet magazine).  Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday Newspapers

Here is my entry in to Me and Mine's November Sketch challenge.   This is the sketch... And my take using Gossamer Blue papers... I didn't fancy bunting so I subbed in some glitter chevrons instead. The little alphas are basic grey.  I need them in every colourway!! 3mm grosgrain ribbon completes the wooden tag. Little One likes to read newspapers - but he also eats them so... Thanks for stopping by.  Sorry I've not been around so much.  It seems you either get me every day or once a week - I'll aim for somewhere in between this week!!  :)
