StickerKitten | Christmas Tree Decorations

Here's a throwback to 2020 and some super cute Christmas tree decorations that hold a mini bar of chocolate. Check out my blog post over on StickerKitten sharing these cuties... (The link to the template no longer works but I just drew up a box to fit the bars of chocolate I was using.)

Guest Designing | Heffy Doodle

I have the absolute honour of guest desiging for Heffy Doodle this month.  Here is the first of two posts for them. I have two projects to share with you today featuring the Scripty Merry Christmas dies .  First up is a scrapbook layout.   I scrap in A4 these days as buying 12×12 albums was getting a little too expensive for me.  My style tends towards clean and simple and I’m a big fan of a white background.  This time I’ve gone for a really pared back colour palette taken from the 6×4 colour photo.  I knew I wanted to make a feature of the Scripty Merry Christmas dies so set about cutting a lot .  I’m not sure what the final count was but I cut plenty of the words and the shadows in both white and red cardstock and adhered them together mix and match style.  The red and white words were giving a slight candy cane vibe so I ran with that and adhered them to a panel of silver cardstock on an angle enhancing that red and white stripe feel. ...

Christmas Cards

I'm pretty sure everyone will have recieved these cards by now so I can go ahead and share...   I fell in love with MFT's bird stamp set which features in all of this years Christmas cards. I've used my polychromos coloured pencils to add some colour to the images. I've nestled some of the birds on thread nests, some on blue 'greenery' stamped directly on the card blank and some on greenery which has been fussy cut and coloured.     And yes, I did say fussy cut.  This stamp set does have a matching die set but I couldn't find it anywhere in the country - or the continent actually, as I checked a few of the European stores too!     This chap has an ink blended background made with Skull and Cross Buns' Floral Pattern stencil and copious amounts of splatter.   These two have multicoloured stamping from a Skull and Cross Buns set .   I trimmed the Merry Christmas apart and used it horizontally rather than stacked.  Don't worry, it doesn't hurt...

Throwback | Skull and Cross Buns | Christmas Cards

Blogging some photos of last years Christmas cards made with Skull And Cross Buns clear stamps... These first two cards use the Scandi Christmas set. I love this messy heat embossing with 'spilled powder' and 'confetti stamping' peeking out from behind the main feature. These foxes can be found here .

Throwback | Gingerbread Man Weath

Throwing it back to an unpublished draft from 2017 using Crafty Ribbons Gingerbread Man ribbon. I have to say this gold foiled ribbon is still one of my favourites!

Skull And Cross Buns | Hochanda

Wrapping up the Hochanda blog posts with these... I do love some stencilled wrapping paper and I was delighted to discover I could stencil ribbon too.  I  used an old neon ink from Hero and heat set as I went to stop the ink from spreading. And finally a shaker bauble with bells on! Hands up who wants a christmas tree full of shaker baubles this year?  Meeee!!!

Skull And Cross Buns | Hochanda

Here are a few tags I created using Skull and Cross Buns products featured in today's HOCHANDA programme. I also used the baubles stamps set to make a string of bunting and a single hanging ornament.  Just one more post to come later and that'll round off the oversharing!!

Skull And Cross Buns | Hochanda

Here are the three layouts I created using Skull and Cross Buns products that you can buy from Hochanda today... Big polka dots and the Christmas Sweater stencils are firm favourites with me. "Funny" story about the above layout... M.E. brain fog has been kicking my butt recently.  I decided that I needed to show that the 6x6 stencils can be used repeatedly to fill a 12x12 page.  I decided the best way was clear glitter paste on a white background - yes, my style but... that was never going to show on TV.  So I decided to save it I would mist over the top of it.  The paste would resist the ink.  Well, yes it would resist it but it still needed to be wiped off the paste before it dried - which I failed to do.  I ended up cleaning each section of glitter paste one by one with a wet cotton bud. Sigh! Still to come today are tags and gift wrap ideas...

Skull And Cross Buns | Hochanda

Skull and Cross Buns are back on Hochanda today.  Here are a few of the card samples I created...   I have to say this Christmas Sweater stencil is a big favourite of mine.  I'll be sharing more samples in the following posts - I've got lots to share!!
