Pink and Pretty!

Woah!  Two challenges in a row?!  What is going on?!         Yep, I've made this up for In the Pink's 'Lace' challenge .  As soon as I saw the theme was Lace for this challenge I knew I wanted to use this that Father Christmas got me from Crafty Ribbons.   I made three gathered circles and stitched them together.  Added a flower - pink of course! I attached to an old hair clip that I had kept to pretty up at some point (also pink but this was coincidence rather than planned)  It had something attached to it once upon a time but little hands unattached it! I have just one problem... my little people are no longer little or interested in pink!  If you have a little one who would like this drop me a line (UK only please, postage charges are ridiculous!  First come first served.) and I'll pop it in the post to you :) Thanks for stopping by!

Pink and Pearly

I haven't joined in at In the pink for ages  :(  but managed to get this done and submitted in time. The challenge is pink and pearly so I grabbed my fluoro pink paint and pearl medium and experimented. I just mixed the colours on the brush.  I added some liquid pearl for the centre of the flowers, green ink stems and a ribbon.  I wonder why I don't grab a spare bit of card and a couple of tubes of paint more often. I had so much fun!     Thanks for stopping by!!

Bee Happy in Pink

Happy Tuesday - I've gone all pink again! This is my entry for In the Pink . I was so chuffed to be picked as a favourite for the first challenge - thank you very much Posh and Pretty. This weeks theme is things with wings.  I have gone for a pink bumble bee.  Having done the drawing I sort of wish they exist now! I found a photo online and copied the basic outline and shape, picked out all my pink colouring pencils and got to work.  The bee in the photo was very hairy so I used a super fine paintbrush and some ink to add hairs on top of the colouring pencil. Thanks for popping by!

at least 20 Shades Of Pink

There is a new blog on the block... In The Pink Their first challenge is 50 Shades of Pink . To start off with I painted my nails using the water marble technique . To do this you use masking tape and it has occurred to me before that some of the bits are very pretty and would work well in scrapbooks or cards.  I saved the bits and waited for my nails to dry... And then made this card with the offcuts. Thinking that just the blank and masking tape probably wasn't 'enough' I then gathered all my pink glitters and decorated the front and the bottom square of tape. I've just scanned the list of entries so far and they are all so soft, feminine and pretty.  Mine is not that style... but I do think it qualifies as pink enough!!  Thanks for stopping by :)
