hello SUNSHINE

Hey there, today is new challenge day at Crafty Ribbons !  My team mate Elaine has chosen the theme of Holidays, and I have made a layout about an annual camping trip my youth group went on... The paper collection is from Cocoa Vanilla Studios, and enamel dots from my stash.  I used a new (to me) stamp set that I picked up in like for ever 's sale to stamp a little 'hello sunshine' tab... Most of the goings on on this layout are safely tucked away in a glassine bag behind my main photo.  There were a few extra photos and some journaling that I didn't want the world to see and a glassine bag is my favourite way to contain such things.  And that is where the ribbon comes in... The photos are 7x5 inches and so the bag needed to be big enough to hold them.  The little tags made their way to the bottom of the bag and got lost.  To remedy this I added some ribbon pulls to each journalling card and tag so they are easy to access. All the ribbons...

Special Bond

Denim paper.  I don't think I will ever be bored of denim.  I live in jeans, I have a denim bag, I want to make a denim patchwork throw and now denim paper has arrived in my life.  Happy! It is from Cocoa Vanilla , as is the rest of the paper and stickers.  The wood veneer 'two' came in an advent kit from Freckled Fawn . I used triangles of stripy paper to frame the page - they seem to have been cut off by the squaring up process. The top left needed a pop of orange to even the layout up, and I added an inked wood veneer star for good measure! It is mighty annoying when you run out of O's!  I fussy cut round the bleed marks to eek out alphas that match.  I actually quite like the effect of the negative letters but I wish manufacturers would add a couple of extras of each vowel in to each alpha set!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello. My name is...

Love how this layout turned out.  Bright colours, great photo, brilliant story. I've used offcuts of papers and then filled the gaps with sequins and buttons and little bits of lace  and loopy cord . Thanks for stopping by!
