Whispers - 2

I took part in a round of Chinese Whispers (Scrapbook Style) over in the Mind The Scrap facebook group.  You can see my first layout here . For this layout I was scraplifting the lovely Claire.  I switched up the colours (no pink for me!) but other than that stayed pretty true to Claire's version.  I loved what she had done. Most of the supplies are from an old Lottie Loves Paper kit, with the mixed media stuff from my stash. It makes a change for me to work on black.  I love the effect, it really pops. I coloured up some SpiegelMom Scraps cork stars with ink and gesso and dotted them around the page. I find puffy stickers hard to use.  I'll whisper this... {I don't really think I like them}  Are we still friends?! Here is the video... Thanks for stopping by

SMS hop - this little PIGGY

Hello and welcome to my stop on the NSD SpiegelMom Scraps blog hop .  We are all setting a little challenge and you can join us over on facebook with your takes on these challenges.  Entries open until 31st May 2016. You should have arrived via Claudia 's - such a talented designer, I hope one of the 'big' companies take her on and make 'actual' product rather than just 'digital' (I'm lazy, I don't want to print my own!!)  Don't forget her code NSD2016 for 35% off her digital designs . My challenge to you is to use RIBBON on your layout. It will come as no surprise to those of you who know me - I love ribbon! I have sewn three lengths of ribbon - Swiss Dots , Organza and Seam Binding from Crafty Ribbons - on to my background and strung some Indian Summer sequins over the top. I added lots of white layers behind my photo, including a doily , and then added some gold foiled elements and a subtle orange and white patter...

Hop!

This post is for Crafty Ribbons .  For the Counterfeit Kit Bloghop go to the previous post here . A while back I made a layout with tags.  It didn't turn out how it looked in my head (if you know what I mean?) so I had another go and this is the result... A tag with buttons ( here , here and here ) sewn on with 3mm ribbon, and topped with 3mm too. Plain white title - hop. A white tag with washi and a D for Daisy, topped with 3mm . An orange tag with gorgeous pansy ribbon , again topped with 3mm . There is a lot of white space but I like it.  At first I worried it was too much white space, but I've made peace with it!  I'm doing my thing. And there she is, Daisy Doo hopping across my layout.  This one definitely looks more like the original idea in my head. Thanks for stopping by.

Sure Is

This layout started off by following the sketch at Stuck .  It ended up quite far from the sketch... But I'm happy with it. The triangles are chunky chipboard and have been covered with paper from my counterfeit kit. The alphas were not very sticky so I ran them through the sewing machine to be on the safe side and added a metal clip. Thanks for stopping by!

Custard Please!

I'll leave you to decide if I'm... how shall I put this? Erm, slightly odd... I like custard.  So much so that I'll forgo whatever is for pudding, usually served with custard, to just have the custard by itself. I thought I needed to document my weirdness on a layout... Close ups of the deatails...  thin washi-type tape, lace, dotty orange washi tape, loops of ribbon, orange buttons... All of the card and paper came from my leftovers folder - very satisfying to make a layout just from odds and ends :) I used the following products from Crafty Ribbons Swiss dot - blue vapour and white Swiss dot - light blue and white Candy saddlestitch - light blue Lace - vapour Button box - dandelion delight Button box - autumn leaves I'd like to link this up to Colour Me Scrappy . Thanks for stopping by p.s. I have a giveaway starting on Saturday :)
