Love You Nephew

My Neph is teething at the moment.  I am so soppy that when he cries I want to cry!  So after he had gone home I pulled out a peaceful photo and made a happy layout... What better than neon colours?! This cut file is from Things That Shine.  It cuts beautifully when you use the right settings for the paper, but I like this half cut one too.  It was a happy mistake! Ribbon scraps, washi, Heidi Swapp packaging, enamel dots, ink splats!  It doesn't fit the tune but these are a few of my favourite things. The butterfly was cut on my silhouette and coloured with pens and the grey alphas are from Sodalicious. Thanks for stopping by!

SODAlift - egr

I am a lucky bunny!  I am guest at SODAlicious' SODAlift this fortnight.  We are lifting a layout from Ceriz and here is my take... I've used papers from SODAlicious and flair, wood and stickers from Evalicious. For the mixed media part I used clear gesso, india ink and Derwent art bars.  I had a lot of fun with this, I should do mixed media more often - it's good to get multicoloured hands!! Thanks for stopping by

Peek A Boo

Here is a layout made with the contents of March's counterfeit kit... I shunned the turquoise-y mints and went for the yellow and black & white combo.  The black and white patterned paper was a bit too much... it took over the photos so I scraped on a thin layer of gesso with a craft knife to knock it back a bit.  Then, for good measure, I flicked the rest of the gesso I had put on my palette on to the card. I tucked a piece of lace in to the top of the paper bag layer and added a mini paper clip. The alphas are cut aparts from SODAlicious.  The puffy star sticker is from Evalicious.  I spy a bit of a -licious trend... Thanks for stopping by, from, Lauralicious!

Cute

I saw a layout on Instagram that made me stop and say 'wow'.  It was by Ashli Oliver for Cocoa Daisy . Imagine my delight when a few days later the Sodalicious lift popped up in my feed - they obviously loved Ashli's work too.  So, here is my take on Ashli's layout with Sodalicious papers.  I've been really naughty with my sodalicous papers - I have not touched them since I ordered.  They seemed too nice to cut or cover up! I dug out some silver glitter bunting stickers from my stash, mixed in a few Crafty Ribbons buttons and a flower paper clip.  And I'm still working hard to use those horrible wood grain thickers that fall apart when you take them off the backing sheet.  This time they have been made over with white and black gesso smudged on with my finger, and finished off with a black fine liner. How nice are the papers?!  You must be able to understand my anxiety to cut in to them..? Thanks for stopping by!
