Hot Air Balloons for Muse

I loved this week's Muse card.  I've gone rainbow coloured for my take... The stamps are from StickerKitten and are part of the Unicorn Fairground set.  Seriously I could use this balloon for every project at the moment - definitely a favourite! I strayed from my usual yellow (squeezed lemonade to fossilised amber) and was amazed to see how much of a difference it made to the rest of the colours. Playing around with different blues doesn't seem to make much difference.  Linking up at Muse .

Kraft Card

I caved and bought a set of Polychromos.  I used them for the first time on this card and I find myself wondering why I didn't buy them a few years ago!  I am in love.  I totally have no idea if I'm doing it right or using them to their full potential so I've signed up for Sandy Allnock's new class to see how good I can get! The flower stamp is from Concord and 9th and the sentiment is from Feed Your Craft.  I stamped it onto ribbon instead of cardstock.  It would be slightly crisper on cardstock but I like the extra texture it adds and that you can see faint polka dots showing through from the other side.  And, you know, I got to use ribbon!  That's always something that makes me happy! Linking up to Muse which inspired the kraft background.

A Catch Up!

Well, it's been a slow week when it comes to blogging...  I've been a busy bee though.  The first of the big craft fairs for this season is fast approaching and that means the Crafty Ribbons design team have been making lots of new samples to adorn the exhibition stall.  So far two new ranges have been released and my samples have safely arrived in Dorset ready for their debut next week. Today I have had a little time to sit down and make something just for me... but what did I pick to work with?  Yep, the new Christmas ribbons!  I was thoroughly inspired by MUSE this week... and this is my take on their design.  Just wasn't brave enough to go for black so I stuck to the traditional white! Thanks for stopping by!

You Sparkle

I often drool over look at the cards at Muse and have good intentions of making a card and joining in.  But you know good intentions and actuality are not necessarily close... however this week I managed! The card to gain inspiration from is: by Jenni Murray .  I immediately knew how I wanted to CASE the card.  I pulled out my vast sequin stash and started colour matching... and this is how it ended up... It is very clean and simple, but you know me - that is my favourite style! Thanks for stopping by!
