I didn't intend to stop when I did but what I was glueing made it obvious that it needed weighting down and that moving it first was NOT an option! I've had a small peek this morning and it seems it was relatively successful so look out for a layout coming soon! I'm hoping a little parcel of Brusho will arrive today - I've only just discovered the stuff and boy am I in love!!  Any Brusho veterans with tips and tricks desking today?  Leave me your wisdomous techniques in the comments please!  Much appreciated! My desk today... It's a little chaotic.  There are at least 6 things started but not finished.  I'm having trouble concentrating and focusing on one thing.  Add in to that mix a little nephew who arrived this morning telling me, "I got Panda.  He's not feeling well."  Teething perhaps... Nephew, not Panda!  I guess the desk will stay chaotic for the rest of the day. Loving my temporary rainbow of threads on the shelf... any excuse for supplies arranged in rainbow order :D I am preparing for International Scrapbooking Day as we speak (or type?!) and you can find out how to join in by joining this Facebook group for details on the day.  I really ought to get a wriggle on with that layout!! On my desk today the leftovers from yesterdays scrap session... I do hope I didn't leave the lid off the glue all night... but I fear I might have! A tripod and light, a deck of mixed media cards with a nature and found poetry theme, my beloved colour swatch moleskine.  I have swatched out all my colours in all mediums - best thing ever! Hi Deskers! On my desk today is what can only be described as chaos – not even ‘organised chaos’ whatever that is!   The good thing about this photo is that you can’t see the floor!! But for something you can actually see...   I didn’t buy my brother and sister-in-law a Christmas present.   I intended to but he bought her everything she wanted (aww!) and I didn’t want to get stuff for the sake of stuff, you know?   I pulled out my watercolour paper a few days before the big day and made them a customised painting. It's tidy!! Apart from the containers awaiting pretty stash to be laid out in them ready for the next project.  To my right... Well yes, there is still quite a lot of stuff there.  Much less than there once was though, and that my friends is progress! To my left... Kammy the Silhouette who will be working hard this afternoon.  I've tried my hand at designing a few cut files.  Of course I have no idea about the computery side of things so whether they will work is yet to be seen. Today is officially get butt in gear day.  I will blog instead of thinking about blogging.  I will desk instead of thinking about desking!  I will finish off the things I've said I will make and post them off... There is a box of unfinished keyrings - they'll be finished by lunch time. A bottle of Jif (I won't call it Cif!) because I cleaned fabric glue off my glass cutting mat yesterday. The 'widger' because I've got Tipping Point on in the background. A half done layout because this is what I'd be doing if others things didn't need to be done! It could do with a bit of a tidy... but I've got things to do ;) Thanks for stopping by, see you at your desk !

Goodness, it feels ages since I have been up to desking .  Glad to be back with you all! As you can see not much changes... it's still messy and cluttered with loveliness.  I have a card on the go, and a button experiment, and paint palettes of embellishments because you never know when you are going to need something sparkly to add! I'm also in the middle of making samples for Crafty Ribbons ... It is simple to make with a keyring blank from a pound shop, a ribbon crimp from ebay and some of the new Summer Festival ribbon exclusive to Crafty Ribbons.  I've used Caravans and Holiday Message in sky . It's a big day here, and that has led to a desk of two halves... The birthday half... And the craft half... It's my 30th, celebratory giveaway here , and also the WOYWW anniversary ATC swap.  I have a carrot and coconut cake calling my name, and a pile of presents making me smile.  It's a good day desky people, it's a good day!!  :)

Morning Deskers, I thought I'd give you a wide shot view of my desk today.  Spectacuar fail!  But you get the idea... Hmm... lots of stuff on my desk to either side but seeing as there is space in the middle I guess I can get away with another couple of days before tidying!! On my desk today... At last the finished doodled paper!  It is so colourful and happy - I love it!  When I finished my immediate thought was 'what else can I colour in?' Also a giant leaf that led to all sorts of inky and painty fun!! I hope to post the finished layout using this paper tomorrow... My Like For Ever kit arrived and I had to put a self-imposed ban on playing until my deadlines had been reached.  It was painful but needed! And now that they have been reached I shall be playing with these goodies!! Yesterday I was working on some NSD projects... Good Morning Deskers ! On my desk today a sheet of paper screaming out to be coloured in!  I gave it a coat of clear gesso yesterday so I can use my inktense pencils and water without the paper going soggy and disintegrating.  Now I just have to decide on the colour scheme... Also note the huge pile to the right - I have been doing the shove and go method - it might be time for a putting away session! Thanks for stopping by!

I just read an emailed from Paperchase entitled 20 ways to refresh your desk...  I'm pretty sure buying new stationery will not fix this! Any hoo, here is my desk this morning.  There are the remaining contents of my Like For Ever kit (new non-commitment UK scrapbook kit club) waiting to be played with... ...amongst the other stuff that should have been put away. One day it might be tidy but I'm not sure I'd feel at home! Off to hop round a few desks before playing with my kit :) See you at your desk x

Well, it's a right wonky donkey of an angle but here is my desk this fine grey Wednesday... ...taken at that angle to show off my new thredgehog from etsy.  I am a little in love! Last week I showed a box on my desk.  I was hesitant to share the contents as it is Christmassy but you let me know you wanted a peep...  It was packed full of bits and pretties from Things That Shine ( Etsy ) Vintage book pages and wrapping paper. Tags and 6x6 papers. Vellums and acetate. Wood veneer for days! Lots of intricate die cuts.  So this week on my desk are a few of the non-Christmassy pieces that I seperated from the kit.  Actually depending on how you look at things, a lot of the individual pieces are not Christmassy... unless you only use reds and greens at Christmas time. I feel naughty for having so many pictures on a desk post!! :) Thanks for looking at my toys... see you at your desk!

I haven't 'got very much thinking' over the last few days so my desk is rather full of half-done unfinished bits and bobs.  It happens with the M.E. sometimes, hopefully it'll clear soon.    And bang smack in the middle of the work surface is a parcel that arrived today.  (Things That Shine if you are interested.)  I was posted in December, full of Christmas goodies, which I won't share today as some of you are allergic to the C word at this time of year!  :) There is a lot of wide eyed sitting and staring going on, but I aim to grab the few titbits of energy that come my way and pop over look at your desks.

Hello Deskers !!  On my desk today we have... an almost complete layout (hoping to blog later today) made from Cocoa Vanilla papers (I know we don't like loads of links on WOYWW posts but scrapbookers, check them out, they are new and are worth a minute or two of your time!)  Can you spot my WOYWW badge?  And there is an obscene amount of lace !!  I know I am a very lucky girl! Most of it is 'short meters' of each new release.  I know this is not an ideal way to store it.  I know it will get tangled.  I know I will spend half an hour tutting.  I know I will spend half an hour untangling.  But it looks so pretty!! I'm rather late for WOYWW today... My day started (too) early, a little crafting, then some real life form filling in which frazzled my brain, followed by sleep.  I can show you what I made before the big sleep, not from my desk , but from my bed as this is where I will be for the rest of the evening.
