gift wrapping

Fancy wrapping is my thing so I love this time of year! I've used Crafty Ribbons Gingerbread ribbon on this parcel... If you need me I'll be sitting on the floor surrounded by wrapping supplies!!

Beautiful To Me

I'm down to the last pieces in my January Counterfeit Kit.  The circular patterned paper, I like it but I was finding it hard to use, so I cut it all up!! I added a sheet of kraft to my kit - the white background just wasn't working for me. I arranged my circles to cascade down the side of the page and then tried to fit as many of the embellishments on as I could!  When I thought I had finished I threw a handful of gems at the page for good measure! I'm not sure this is my style.  I suppose it is still a simple layout - there is a large percentage of white space (or kraft space!!) but it feels different for me.  I like it.  I like that the paper pushed me too. Thanks for stopping by

Christmas Cards XI

A tree and a snowman are todays subjects... The tree is a glittered triangle sold as bunting, covered in gem baubles. Two white buttons and a snippet of ribbon for a scarf.

just me

A layout made with sparkles and off cuts! And I love it. I lined up assorted offcuts from my Counterfeit Kit .  I added a sprinkling of swarovski crystals and a pink bow from Things That Shine . A date sticker and 3 pink flowers finish things off nicely. Look at the crystals, they make me smile! Linking up at the playground !

All Things B...

I have a layout with out photos today.  I got my inspiration from the challenge at SJ papercrafts which is to make something based on this board... I used it like a sketch, included some watercolour painting and was guided by the colour palette too. I was thinking about the name of my blog and what other names I could have used. It led me to a huge long list of loves in my life, current or in the past, that begin with B... so I documented them :) I'm quite pleased with how it all turned out except for the colour of the blossom watercolour painting.  I just could not mix the peach colour that I wanted! Thanks for stopping by! p.s. I have a giveaway running... see the previous 3 posts

Crafty Ribbons Easter Bunny Hop

Hello!  Happy Easter!  You should have arrived here at stop two of our Bunny Hop from the CR INSPIRATION BLOG. Today's showcase of ribbons also includes a Bunny Hop, so if you have just popped by to say hello to me and would like to join in with the hop you will need to start at the very beginning which is on the CR Inspiration blog.   Hop around the DT blogs in the order they are listed and leave them a comment. While you are hopping around please watch out for the lovely little bunny/bunnies which is/are hiding away and make a note of whose blog/s they are on so that when you return to the Inspiration blog you can link up with your name and which blog/s you saw the bunny/bunnies.....GOOD LUCK! I bought this wire heart cage from Panduro a good while back.  One of those things that you buy thinking you will turn it in to a masterpiece and then sit and stare at for a few months!  Any way I thought I'd give it a whirl and used paper...

Circle Love

Slowly making it back to 'normal' (whatever that is!) after the last few weeks of mayhem.  I've managed to get this layout finished... of course, I used some ribbon - bling edged 3mm and plain satin 3mm. Lots of circles, and look, I finally got some enamel dots!! I glittered some chipboard letters.  I forgot how much mess I make when I use loose glitter... ...all coming together to make this layout.  I tucked in half a 'Hi there' packaging tag that came with a Cocoa Daisy order.  All the papers for the circles were pulled out of my scrap folder so I'd like to think I've made a dent, all be it a tiny dent, in my scrap pile! Entering at The Studio Challenges and the Playground . Thanks for stopping by!
