Pretty My Page | Easter Treat Boxes and Plate Bunting

Happy Easter!  Hop over to the Pretty My Page blog to find out more about these beauties!

Gift Box

I love a project that starts as one thing and turns out as something completely different! Remember the layout I shared yesterday ?  These hearts are the negatives from the Pretty My Page cut file.  I had a play with them and some Distress Oxide inks.  I mopped up the excess ink with a sheet of cardstock. I ran the coloured hearts through the sewing machine to make a string of bunting. I glued the sheet of paper to a gift box blank and trimmed it out.  I added stamping with the Brush Hearts stamp set from Skull and Cross Buns. I used some of the coloured card as a gift tag, stamped a sentiment and strung it on some matching ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. You can watch the process here: I still have loads of the heart bunting left so I'll still get to make the layout I originally intended too!

Christmas Gift Box

It's probably sitll too early for some of you but I'm blogging about Christmas... I made this cute Christmas gift box using ribbon from the Advent range from Crafty Ribbons. I added a tag and lid topper cut on my Silhouette Cameo to match the featured star design.  Really simple - i.e. wrapping double sided tape around a premade box and sticking ribbon on.  It's a great way to recycle boxes as the ribbon covers up and design or branding. Thanks for stopping by.

Advent - Day 10

Day 10 of the fabulous celebrations (and giveaways, did we mention the giveaways?) at Crafty Ribbons Inspirations . Today's make also incorporates my gelli printing... I had the light switch in my room altered so I can turn it on with a fob instead of having to either move (which isn't happening very much at the moment) or call for someone in another part of the house to come and switch it on for me.  The little fobs came in this corrugated cardboard box. I flattened it out and printed a few layers of Christmas-y colours and shapes on it.  When it was dry I re-assembled the box.  I cut a piece of red paper to cover the label with all the details of the original contents and added some ribbon from the Owls   range. Thanks for stopping by

Advent - Day 8

I'm up and down like a yo yo here... This is Sundays post which never got written let alone posted...  Grr! to the M.E.!! ####################################################################### Here is todays make for Crafty Ribbons Advent Event.  I'd loved Ali's chocolate coloured Christmas ribbon from the moment I saw it, as it's such an unusual colour for Christmas.   I combined it with chocolate lace too. The thing is I have no presents that are this shape or size...  I need a little more co-ordination!! :) Our sponsor is QKR so head on over to the Inspiration site to enter to be in with a chance of becoming one of our winners.
