Skull And Cross Buns | Hochanda

Wrapping up the Hochanda blog posts with these... I do love some stencilled wrapping paper and I was delighted to discover I could stencil ribbon too.  I  used an old neon ink from Hero and heat set as I went to stop the ink from spreading. And finally a shaker bauble with bells on! Hands up who wants a christmas tree full of shaker baubles this year?  Meeee!!!

Skull And Cross Buns | Hochanda

Here are a few tags I created using Skull and Cross Buns products featured in today's HOCHANDA programme. I also used the baubles stamps set to make a string of bunting and a single hanging ornament.  Just one more post to come later and that'll round off the oversharing!!

Button Bauble

Feel like making something really colourful?  I did, and this happened... First of all I coloured a polystyrene ball with some promarkers.  I wasn't a perfect rainbow but that didn't matter as most of it would be covered.  The bits that peep through look nicer if the are roughly the right colour rather than white.  Then I got my entire button stash out and played around, picking the right colours and sizes and generally having fun.  When I had what I wanted laid out I started gluing them to the polystyrene with glue gel.  I stopped half way to let the glue dry.  This way I didn't have to worry about smudging and getting glue all over my fingers.  When the first half was dry I flipped it upside down and carried on. To hang it I used a piece of swiss dot grosgrain and used both pins and glue gel to attach it. All the buttons I used, along with the ribbon, are from Crafty Ribbons . Thanks for stopping by!

Penguin Pals

It is challenge time at Crafty Ribbons Challenges - the theme is Penguin Pals, picked by me!  I love Bubbles the Penguin.  I even painted him on my nails... For my challenge project I have simply strung up a wire heart filled with baubles.  It is hanging on my craft cupboard door.  I like to think Bubbles is protecting my stash!! You can check out all things penguin here and then join us in our challenge !!

Christmas Friday Smiles

I've been looking through photos that I have not blogged and came across this one of last years Christmas tree.  I had totally bonkers neon baubles :)  That is a big smile for me, so I'm sharing at Annie's Friday Smiles . Perhaps next Friday I'll have decorated this years tree and can share that too!

Christmas Cards VIII

Two more CAS cards... Two hanging felt hearts with a sentiment. Santa star baubles with hand drawn strings and a peel off.

Christmas Cards VII

Perhaps two of my favourites to share today... Tiny snowman circles from deep in my stash, turned in to baubles with the addition of a hanging thread. Gorgeous glittered thickers, again turned into hanging ornaments with drawn on.  I love the contrast of the colours on this one.

Advent - Day 22

Ooh, I was dead chuffed when I'd finished this!   A bauble made entirely of ribbon - had no idea it would make me so happy!! I stiffened the ribbon by painting it with matte medium, working it in to the ribbon really well.  Then I cut 5 lengths of ribbon, splayed them out in to a star shape and secured them with a cross stitch.  I then one by one secured the tops of the ribbons together making the sphere shape.  My joining at the top was super messy so I covered it up with my hanging loop... no one will know!! I used ribbon from the vintage range n old lace and nile.   You could use any ribbon, the wider the ribbon the bigger the bauble would need to be... ooh, giant baubles... Link up over at Inspirations to be in with a chance of wining wonderful prizes...

Advent - Day 9

Welcome to day nine of the Crafty Ribbons Advent Celebrations!   Today I have made some markers for our Christmas cheese board!  They could just as easily be table settings too, and, of course, you could make them in different colours - but you know me and my neon!  :) I collected together some pegs, sequins, baubles, mirror paper, white card and my beloved 3mm satin ribbon. I was playing with my gelli plate so I printed the pegs and incorporated the sequins in to a print which in turn coloured the sequins - perfect!  I used a glue dot to add the sequin to the peg. I simply tied a bow through the bauble, clipped it to the peg and stood the peg upside down. A bit of double matting and layering and my cards were ready.  Now bring on the Wensleydale!!  :) Thanks for stopping by

Ooh, I can't keep up!

More new ribbons today... check them out here . There is Winter Stamps, Winter Scene and Baby's 1st Christmas .  I've made a layout with the Winter scene ribbon but I haven't photographed it yet... maybe you'll see that tomorrow!! So project no.1 is a make up bag with ribbon added and a ribbon zip pull - just don't look too closely at the sewing.  I go by this motto - it's hand made therefore it's not meant to be perfect!  I see this full of nail varnish and nail goodies under the tree (for me!!) Project no.2 is a papier mache ball rolled around in paint (oh, how much fun I had :D ) and decorated with a pleated strip of ribbon. I'm entering this bauble in to  Creative Craft Challenges 2 whose theme is use ribbon. And project no.3 is a pair of socks for the little man's 1st Christmas.  All together now, 'aw!' Ribbons from here and buttons from here . Thanks for stopping by :)
