The new sequins are awesome - and you will probably 'need' all of them!  I started out with Water Lilies for my first project... I've made 4 scrapes of paint in colours matching the sequins and topped them with sequins for an over the top sparkle (which I adore!  Everything should come with this much sparkle!!) A little about me... as documented in the journalling on this layout. Nearly 32 - tired but coping Loves: being an Auntie - Herbert, my bird - creating - sequins! Hopes:  to improve energy and tiredness levels - to grow UK Scrap Addicts - to improve people skills - to love and to be happy. Along with a glassine bag and some  Wild and Free Sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps I've used some labels from Claudia Van R's first collection with Pretty Little Studio and some matching ricrac from Crafty Ribbons.  For the background I traced the SMS logo and converted it in to a cut file! Welcome to the SpiegelMom Scraps and Creative Embellishments blog hop... you should have arrived from Nanné’s blog One of the perks of being a Sparkler is we team up with the most fabulous companies!  This month it's Creative Embellishments . For this layout, I picked out my photo and chipboard first.  The photo is of my nephew reading his newspaper.  He is loving learning and breaks out the alphabet or some counting at any opportunity! I gave my chipboard a quick coat of white gesso.  When that was dry I painted on some Shimmerz Dazzlerz in alternating colours.  The layer of white helps the colours to stay vibrant.  I loosened up some of the lemon drop yellow paste by mixing it with water and used the packaging technique to smoosh some colour on the background. The cut file has been in my stash waiting to be used, I believe it is from Cocoa Daisy.  Then come the awesome SpiegelMom sequins... I've mixed  What's Up Buttercup ...

Hey there and welcome to our Sparklers United blog hop!  Each month we come together to bring you some great tips, technique and inspiration!  For this hop, you should have arrived here from Rachel (whose project was lovely!) I've gone a little off piste today...  I received my new sequins and wanted to try out the Build A Snowman Sequins mix first.  I love the tiny stars and there were a few pieces of sequin glitter (you know, the little bits punched out of the middle of the sequin?  Yep, I call them sequin glitter!) in the pack.  I pulled out some matching nail varnish and got to work... It's fairly straight forward to do as you can see in my video - the only thing you need is time for layers to dry in between coats. Thank you for spending your time with us today! For my layout today I have featured Holly Berries Sequin mix and a whole bunch of Shimmerz Paints. Our loose theme for November is Cosy (or Cozy if you speak US English!)  I doodled a whole bunch of 'cosy' on some draft paper and turned one into a cut file for the first half of my title.  And used some small alphas from Elles Studio for the other half.  I popped my journalling on a few mini tags, I thought it would fit on two but I needed three in the end! Hi and welcome to the April new releases blog hop for SpiegelMom Scraps .  You've probably arrived via Katty (check out her youtube channel too!) I have made a tag for today featuring the beautiful new Lilac Twinkle sequin mix.  I was very excited to discover it had beads included in the mix too! I took a plain shipping tag , a few cuts from my silhouette (the flowers are from our recent team up with Jen Schow ) and a variety of Shimmerz products .  (We have just expanded our range of Shimmerz products!)  I spread some matte medium over the tag and scattered the sequins and beads - you may have to shift a few sequins over making sure that they get good contact with the glue.  Don't forget to use the code Laura15 if you make a purchase from SpiegelMom Scraps !
