Shape Series | Triangle Makes II

Here's a round up of everything triangle-y from the last few weeks.  Everything from a small bit of patterns paper that features a triangle design to projects created with triangles at the heart of the design. This layout was for a Scrap Squad lift and features a piece of green triangle patterned paper amongst other scraps from my yellow, blue and green paper boxes. This cut file was designed specifically for my shape series.  I've also added triangle stencilling in the background and used some triangle patterned paper to back parts of the cut file.   This layout has some stencilling that uses a hexagonal design that is made up of triangles... tenuous link to triangles but *shrugs* This layout is all about that 6x6 patterned paper... it is marvellous!  It's from a Honeybee pad and I love everything about it! There is a textured triangle stitch design on the background of this card.  Also had a little play with coloured embossing powder which is something ...

Lollipop Box Club | Scrapbooking

Hi folks, Laura here with a scrapbook layout to share.   It had been a while since I last scrapped and looking through the entire kit was a bit overwhelming.   I got over this by picking out just a few bits that I loved the most (shh, don’t tell the other bits I said that!)   I grabbed a few of the papers, the Bramble Fox camera and the stickers.   I knew that would give me a good base to build upon.   I chopped up the cut apart card and picked out a couple of die cuts.   This gave me focal words and summery vibes to add to my base.   I picked out a summery photo of my neph wearing sunglasses and started playing. I’m moving towards working on A4 for my main scrapbook layouts or A5 for my scraptherapy style layouts.    I have run out of room for 12x12 albums plus they are so expensive and hard to find in the UK.   A4 albums are much easier to source and a fraction of the price.   All that to say that I started with an A4 sheet of whi...

Scrapbooking | West Pier

It's been a while - I've been battling the M.E. for a few weeks.  I created this layout before the bad spell and have just managed to photograph it now. Despite it being kraft - I often say I can't do kraft - it feels very authentically me. I have stamped the title, which is also the photo location, tone on tone on the background.  By repeat stamping I have sort of created my own patterned paper.  The stamps are from Skull and Cross Buns' Complete Jumbo Vintage Typewriter Alphabet set.  The rest of the ingredients are some rose gold foiled acetate from Pretty Little Studio, copper thread and acrylic gulls from Bramble Fox.  That's it.  Very minimal.  And I love it!

CSI Case File 328

Scrapbooking | Granma

I recently found some old photos of my granma and wow, it felt like finding treasure! For this layout I tried a new way of spreading paint on my page - it's easier for you to watch than me try and explain it! The flowers are part of the Bed Of Roses cut file from Pretty My Page cut on some Jillibean Soup patterned paper.  The leaves were painted with left over paint I had mixed up.  With no pot to put it back in to it was destined for the bin but I just can't bring myself to throw paint away.  I'd much rather doodle something with it and then toss that if it doesn't work out. The butterflies are from Bramble Fox and inspired the colour scheme.  I'm really enjoying working with plum-purple and teals.  I've always been a cheerleader for yellow, especially mustard yellow. Enamel dots were the perfect way to bring a few more touches of teal and green to the page. And I added three copper paperclips.  I would like to have added a bit...

NSD Fun #2

Here are another couple of layouts I made over the NSD weekend. This is a scraplift of Emilie Chamel for Bramble Fox. I adored Emilie's layout as soon as I saw it and love how mine turned out too. Lots of leaves and a Bramble Fox camera. This second layout uses a string of stamped, heat embossed and fusst cut bunting that I made for my Mum's birthday.  She knows me well... when she took it (and her birthday cards) down from the mantle she brought it back for me to scrap with! Seems fitting that I scrap the birthday selfies we took (the day after her birthday because I forgot on the day!) The stamps are from Simon Says and are gorgeous! Shimmerz and sequins to match, butterflies... what's not to like! Thanks for stopping by!

NSD Fun #1

Here are a few layouts I made over the weekend for NSD challenges. This one combines Bramble Fox and Lottie Loves Paper challenges. The design is a rough scraplift of Philippa McCray for Bramble Fox Whilst the yellow and white striped paper bag conceals hidden journalling for the Lottie Loves Paper challenge. This second layout is based on a sketch I created for Lottie Loves Paper. This bird paper from Paige Evans is a firm favourite of mine. Never has the term thread nest been more appropriate! I added some stitching for extra detail.   And finally a footie themed layout using papers I designed. This fits a tic tac toe board from Lottie Loves Paper - blue alphas, two photos and 3+ hearts. I had to piece together some grey alphas to make missing letters.  I'm sure it looks OK but it's all I can see at the moment! I have a couple more layouts to share tomorrow.
