Stashbusting The Halfmade Projects

Here is the third in my Stashbust The Half-Made Projects series.  I wrote the lyrics to Sound Of Silence by Simon and Garfunkle using my Silhouette sketch pens.  I loved it but didn't have the right photos so put it to the side and promptly forgot about it!  I added some Shimmerz paint to the background.  I know I'm not very up to date with my music tastes but this is my favourite song at the moment.  The photos are quite fun too.  I layered three on top of each other and set the transparency so you could see all of them.  I printed them as a strip like you'd get from a booth. Here's the process video: Thanks for stopping by. Linking up at Inspire Me Mondays

She Loves Daffodils

Comfort zones... wonderful things!  But this time the challenge was to go outside of your comfort zone.  I soon realised my 'non-comfort zone' was patterned paper.  I am so happy to create without any patterned paper, just using all the other pretties available, that I didn't realise it was a big deal.  I challenged myself to make a layout only using patterned papers... I kept my snuggly blanky though... white cardstock background! I also went with like for ever subscriber Heather Bee's challenge of scrapping a photo of yourself with lyrics from a song as the title. I picked a song by JC Chasez (my favourite one from N Sync!) and hand cut the letters in the Pink Paislee/Paige Evans collection. I tacked the letters lightly with a dot of glue and then ran them through my sewing machine to make sure none could escape!  I like that they are not thoroughly glued down as they leave little shadows and add a little texture. And do you know what?...

Bicycle!

It is time for a new theme at Crafty Ribbons Challenges . This fortnight we are looking for projects featuring bicycles.  I absolutely love the theme that Marg came up with, and it coincides with Le Tour too :) I've gone with the Queen song bicycle race.  It is one of my favourite songs.  Big bums are a theme in my family, (and they are not a bad thing!) so these lines fit this picture perfectly. I cut the lyrics on my cameo and backed the letters with ribbons. A few little tabs under the photo matt and I was finished. I would love to see you linking up your creations featuring bicycles over on the Crafty Ribbons Challenges blog.
