L & B

I had to use the doily - I just had to!  It made it on to this layout channelling just the green and reds found in my Like For Ever kit for June. I'm not going to lie, I struggle with ephemera packs.  All the happy-happy sayings are not my thing.  My life is OK, I'm not unhappy, but it is not a conventionally happy perfect life.  I always look for ways to use pieces in ways other than how they were intended... Cutting this piece gave me a B for Bob and an L for Laura.  Perfect! The L is in the left cluster.  I added a Things That Shine cut file and some enamel dots and hearts to the Like For Ever kit. The B makes it in to the right hand cluster, along with a little bit of everything else that was included in the left hand cluster. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Card

Here is a thank you card I made with the leftovers from my first session with the June Like For Ever kit.  I can never have enough thank you cards! I also used the scraps of ribbon left from my last card.  It was white ribbon (the wider version is still in stock here ) from Crafty Ribbons and I colourised it with some India ink. And those tiny pink hearts were an ebay tip off from the Like For Ever gang.  They come in a rainbow of colours and I boughta few packets so expect to see them on a lot of my upcoming projects!! Thanks for stopping by! Linking up at; Inspire me Monday

lovely

Good Morning!! Today I'm sharing the first layout made with my June Like For Ever kit called 'Stripy Straws'. The first layout from a kit is sometimes a little hard for me - just to start cutting up the pristine papers... it hurts!  And what if I cut a piece from one that I might need a whole sheet of later?  I got over this by telling myself it is just paper and scraplifting the freaking rad Adele Toomey.   I cut a whole bunch of 3" squares - or 7.6 cm - and overcame the first cut fear! I played around with the interchangeable stamp and got very inky fingers.  I have now figured out if you keep the handle down and stamp off a few impressions you are then not handling a completely inked stamp.  I'm still not brave enough to add stamping straight to a layout, I know I would mess it up! I have mixed feelings about these hair clips... that is what they are - hair clips.  But I guess they work on a page too, I just don't like them being sol...

Hello

I've been having a little experiment with some off cuts of vellum.  I made them in to tiny envelopes stuffed with buttons and sequins, to add to my layouts. A little bit of stencilling in the background - paint mixed to match the shade of the mint green sequins. I tried to include every colour and pattern I used in the main cluster in the little side cluster. Here you can see the vellum envelope along side a picture of Naughty Bun. I used an iridescent mist for some splatters and thought I was done.  Looking at the page it was screaming at me for some black... nervously I used some black India ink for some more splatters. Papers from Like For Ever kits (April & May.) Buttons and pink dotty ribbon from Crafty Ribbons.

SODAlift - egr

I am a lucky bunny!  I am guest at SODAlicious' SODAlift this fortnight.  We are lifting a layout from Ceriz and here is my take... I've used papers from SODAlicious and flair, wood and stickers from Evalicious. For the mixed media part I used clear gesso, india ink and Derwent art bars.  I had a lot of fun with this, I should do mixed media more often - it's good to get multicoloured hands!! Thanks for stopping by

Orchid Love

I am up on the Crafty Ribbons Inspirations blog today sharing this little layout... Let me walk you through...  India ink splatters in a few shades of pinky purple.  Pencil drawn circles and tissue paper circles along with stapled thread to build some background interest.  Fabric, felt and lace make up the main piece with my part matted photo, and the title stitched on top.  I added a few tabs and snippets of ribbon too... I created a cluster at the bottom with tissue circles and the same ribbons too. My Crafty Ribbons supplies are; lace , Swiss dot ribbon , heart ribbon . Thanks for stopping by!

Bobby

Another layout using the sketch from Me and Mine and contents from my Counterfeit Kit .  I kind of love this sketch! Little cluster in the top corner using washi, stickers, dots and acetate... A title banner at the bottom using the pennant shape - I think we could call this shape of the month! A selection of papers and a sprinkling of sequins... Thanks for stopping by
