Another Thursday means another challenge at Crafty Ribbons Challenges !  This week the wonderful La Vikinga has picked the theme Easels - she meant easel cards but I went more literal... I paired the wonderful Bee ribbon from the Gnomes collection with some 3mm in yellow gold , along with a mini wooden easel. I gave the easel a coat of gesso and then painted bee stripes on with India ink. And made a cheery little card to sit on the easel with a cheeky little reminder to be happy! I have a 'welcome' sign to share today... For me (a massive ribbon fan) it is always exciting when we get word from Ali at Crafty Ribbons that new ribbons are coming soon.  When I opened my parcel I giggled - garden gnomes!  Who'd have thunk it? But boy are they fun!  You can find them here .  My favourite is the bee ribbon - I think it'll be featuring heavily in my future work! Happy Tuesday - I've gone all pink again! This is my entry for In the Pink . I was so chuffed to be picked as a favourite for the first challenge - thank you very much Posh and Pretty. This weeks theme is things with wings.  I have gone for a pink bumble bee.  Having done the drawing I sort of wish they exist now! I found a photo online and copied the basic outline and shape, picked out all my pink colouring pencils and got to work.  The bee in the photo was very hairy so I used a super fine paintbrush and some ink to add hairs on top of the colouring pencil.
