Throwback | hello CAKE

Still going with the unshared layouts found in my drafts folder.  2018 me is such a bad blogger! I think pretty much all of the supplies are from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. The blue looks like Dazzlerz from Shimmerz.  I no longer have any as it takes eons to dry... but it does look good! Thanks for stopping by!

Throwback | Tiny Squares

A sweet pastel grid layout rescued from the dreaded drafts folder... This was made and photographed back in 2018. These papers are from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and all the lace is from Crafty Ribbons. Thanks for stopping by!

StickerKitten on HOCHANDA II

Today I'm sharing the batch of cards I made for StickerKitten's HOCHANDA shows...

Skull and Cross Buns Stencils

Skull and Cross Buns have some fun new stencil designs - check them out here . I have a couple of cards and a layout to share now and a whole bunch of partially finished projects using these stencils - I may have got carried away! The Raindrops stencil is very apt for me right now - I feel like I could have made this card for myself! Sentiment stamp also from Skull and Cross Buns, ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, heart and sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. I love this pattern!  This is the Diamond Harlequin stencilled in blue/green ombre then the stencil shifted over by half a repeat and black stencilled on top. Having tried and failed to get this foam SMILE from Jillibean Soup on to three scrapbook layouts I figured I'd try and get it on to a card.  Enamel dots (from Pretty My Page) add a finishing touch. Gold edges and colour matched foam because the tiny details matter!  This layout uses the Dots and Spots stencil in the background. ...

New Release

I've been having fun with the new stamp set from Skull and Cross Buns along with their Stocking Stencil ... I've accessorised some Christmas cards with lace from Crafty Ribbons. The bulk of the cards came about from my initial play with the stencil... I just grab some ink and card and played with no pressure.  I tried spraying ink through the stencil, stamping the stencil, filling the stencilled image with stamping... As seems to be my current 'thing' they all feature foam tape for added dimension. ...which also creates wonderful shadows. And there is a layout too... I added a bunch of machine stitching on this layout to pull it all together. Here are the process videos: Thanks for stopping by!

Stashbusting The Half Made Projects 2

The second instalment in my series finishing off as many half made projects as possible. I had a watercolour background, a sheet of vellum cut to a lace pattern and a handful of bits from my desktop that matched. When I cut on my Silhouette I tend to cut more than the file I want to use... if the machine is out I may as well cut a few extra, right?  Well, wrong.  This is how the half dones pile up! I've got a few bits and bobs used.  A title, some butterflies and the lace but I still have loads of cut cut files. I do love the lace cut on vellum.  I want to be more intentional and adventurous when it comes to cutting files.  I tend to stick to white card but vellum is a great option. Here's the vid:

Hythe Beach

Here is the second of my layouts for StickerKitten using Mermaid Treasures .  This one uses the negatives from the digital die cut I used in the last layout . I used a few mists from Shimmerz for the background.  There was lots of splattering and a little bit of the packaging technique. For the layering behind the photos I used the 6x6 papers from the collection.  There are 2 packs of paper to choose from. And to finish I added some sequins - also part of the collection - which perfectly coordinate. Thanks for looking!

Pretty My Page

I adore this cut file from Pretty My Page ... The layout had to be fairly simple to let the cut file shine. I backed it with a pink-peach paper from Cocoa Vanilla, which was spritzed with Peachy Keen Shimmerz to knock the pink back slightly. Sequins are from SpiegelMom Scraps and are called Peach Canna Lily.  Lace snippets from Crafty Ribbons. Here is the video:

WW1

Stick It Down are cropping this weekend.  Antonia's challenge was to pick an old SID sketch and create a layout.  I picked my sketch from September 2016 and combined it with White With 1 's January colour palette of Bayou Blue. I used Shimmerz Chance of Rain which I think is my new favourite colour! Oh boy, this photo shows how much my white desk has aged! Here is the process: Thank you for looking!

Gingerbread Jar

Guess who's been having fun..? Me!  I made this jar up with some kitchen staples and some Gingerbread House ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. So.  Much.  Fun!! I nabbed the recipie from Auntie Beeb - link - but added in some smarties to decorate with. I added in some green seam binding and some red heart lace . Thanks for looking!
