A new colour of Dazzlerz paste and a free sample of water colour paints means an experimental layout... I have Barely Blue, and true to it's name it is barely blue!  It is wonderful soft colour.  I spread some around on my background card stock to add interest and shimmer. Then I played with some watercolours and a Juliana Michaels cut file.  I had the wrong settings or my blade was wearing out, and it had not cut perfectly.  In most areas the cut line held the watercolour inside giving me a white border to each butterfly. I gathered up sequins from loads of collections, just picking a few of each, in colours that matched my butterflies.  I also coloured a doily to match too, and layered it under my photo. It certainly is experimental but I like the effect of the Dazzlerz roughly spread in the background with a cut file layered over the top.  I also love the coloured doily ... but I already knew that!  I've just ordered some more as...

Exciting times... I have a sketch featured for like for ever's Sunday Sketch .  Here it is: And here is my (incredibly literal) take using the latest like for ever kit ' carefree ' The butterflies are the other half of the cut file (by Juliana Michaels ) that I used on this layout . I added in some Peachy Sherbet sequins and Dazzlerz in Dreamsicle from the SpiegelMom Scraps store (use the code Laura15 when you place an order and get a nice little discount!) I picked out coordinating threads to attach the butterflies to the page.  I love to add butterflies this way as you get lots of dimension.  And I don't mind that I had to thread the sewing machine up eight times!  And because they are vellum you get the gorgeous Fancy Pants paper showing through. I wanted to add a title but couldn't come up with anything more than the initials - it's enough for me.  Here is a process video: Thanks for stopping by and if you have a go at a...

Today I'm sharing another NSD layout... This gorgeous cut file came from Juliana Michaels , and I adore it!  This is the first time I've cut vellum too and it won't be the last.  As well as this 'main piece' from the cut file you get all the butterflies too - I hope to use them soon but energy is sketchy at the moment! All the bits apart from the enamel heart, tissue paper and thread are from the like for ever May kit. Rather wish I had 10 of these Paige Evans buttons!  Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. Love the white on white!! Thanks for stopping by...
