Challenge Day!

Woah, struggling to keep up!!  I'm late with my DT post...  It's Thursday which means it's challenge day at Crafty Ribbons Challenges .   Marianne has set the theme of spots or stripes (or both!) and I have squeezed them both in.  Dotty ribbon and stripy paper. This is Santa's magic key.  He uses this to get in to the houses that have no chimney so he can fill up childrens stockings.  I used to worry about this when I was young as we didn't have a chimney... Using Swiss Dots ribbon from Crafty Ribbons Thanks for stopping by

Advent - Day 5

Today's make for The Crafty Ribbon Advent feature is super easy... I found some sweet little frames in the Panduro catalogue and allowed myself to have them.  I figured I'd put photos in them when a new arrival joins our family soon.  Until then, I've popped in some Vintage Christmas ribbon.  I went over the falling snow on the background of the ribbon with a little glitter. Really simple but I tell you, they look so sweet sat on my little shelf.  They make me smile :) using frames from Panduro and Vintage Trees ribbons. Thanks for stopping by

Another Card? What's Going On?!

I have no idea... I sat to try and tidy my desk a bit.  Well, not tidy tidy, just clear it a bit.  I had some paint chips sitting there and I thought if I put them away I'll never get them out again, so I cut them up and started the background of a layout.  Then the layout wasn't central so I trimmed around it so that what I had stuck down was central.  I was left with little strips of floral paper.  Now, I realised that this wasn't tidying or clearing, it was in fact making more stuff-on-the-desk.  'Well if I just make these strips in to a CAS card...' I thought. So I did and then I was too tired to do any clearing or tidying and goodness knows when I'll finish the layout but hey, I started and finished a card! :) Entering at the Snippets Playground

WOYWW 235

*sigh* Sometimes I sort of pose my WOYWW photos.  I move DT stuff I am working on...  I put the scissors back in the holder...  You know, that sort of thing.  Today I just pulled the chair out of the way and snapped a picture.  I'm a little ashamed.  Stuff just isn't getting done.  That canvas frame you can see is supposed to be finished and unveiled tomorrow.  It ain't happening folks! Hop over to Julia 's to see some more desks, most of them won't have a bag of pasta on them.  (There is no sane reason for it being there.) Thanks for stopping by :)

Advent Event - Day 4

Good Morning!  Nice and early for Crafty Ribbons Advent Celebrations... Day four's make is an altered cardboard box bag... I used my gelli plate and a Ronda Palazzari stencil.  The bag came free with a Christmas craft magazine.  As a gelli plate newbie my initial thought was gather as many different surfaces as possible and see what you can actually print on... turns out pretty much everything including flat gift boxes  :) I jazzed the box up with some snowman ribbon,   I didn't think it needn't much else as it so textured and yummy! I'd like to share this at avenue 613 Thanks so much for stopping by and being part of Crafty Ribbons Advent

Snippety Christmas Card

I'm in the card making groove at the moment and have another to link up over at the playground . I've used the parcels from a sheet of push out pieces from goodness knows where, an off cut of green and an off cut of a stamp... What?  The free clear stamp said some waffle about 'special Christmas wishes' which I would never use, so I cut it up!  A bit naughty!! I do so enjoy the antics of the girls in the playground :) Thanks for stopping by

Advent - Day 2

It's day two of our Advent countdown at Crafty Ribbons Inspirations .  Today I have a wreath to share... I started off with some wire from my jewellery making box... and manipulated it in to a heart shape.  I've used all the off cuts that I have kept through out the year.  (My off cuts pile is still huge... never mind!)  And a few bits from a scrap bag. I simply tied the scraps around the wire.  I kept squidging them together, adding more on until there was absolutely no free space left on the wire.  At this stage I decided that the heart shape was not showing through well enough so I manipulated the wire in to a circle instead. I added a length of my beloved 3mm for hanging et voila! Sharing at Tokbobok Thanks for stopping by :)
