Shapes

Here is a fun layout using scraps, my silhouette cameo and silver dot sequins from Spiegel Mom Scraps... There is not much to say about it really, I just tinkered in the silhouette design programme until I was happy and sent it to cut.  Then I backed the shapes, used random shaped off cuts to matt the photos, and finally threw some sequins at it! I pulled the colours from the photo of the toy Nephy Dude was playing with. Thanks for stopping by!

Here is another layout from the May Like For Ever kit.  Again, I adore this yellow paper.  There isn't enough yellow paper in the scrapbooking world! This is the fire engine that plays the music for The Dance .  He's not got the hang of pushing himself around on it but loves to sit either on it, or next to it on the floor, and push the button to play the jingle.  This layout just documents my love of his perfect chubby thighs!! These paper are just so happy and colourful - I love them! Thanks for stopping by!

Breakfast

I have a backlog of layouts from my May Like For Ever kit, so get ready for a little run of blog posts!! I love this fun yellow paper.  I didn't want to cut it!  So it became a happy background for an Easter layout. I struggled a little with the cork stickers in the kit but a few little bits made it on to this layout... and copious amounts of enamel dots! I've also discovered a love for vellum and tulle layers.  I think as they are see through the add so much with out being overpowering - and I think that is 'my style'. Thanks for stopping by!

Samuel

I don't often share cards on my blog.  I don't often make them any more.  Just for those special times, really... like this one.  A good friend from my childhood becoming a mummy for the first time.  A very special moment, and a very special baby boy named Samuel.   I sliced up some blue papers and arranged them in ombre order.  I lined up some chipboard letters on the same papers, trying as best as possible to line up the patterns.  Then I added a length of ribbon and used glue gel to add the letters on top.  Et voila! Having made this card (and another since - to be shared soon!) I have come to realise that I do like making cards.  My cards are my cards though, not influenced by or to be compared to the delicately promarker/copic coloured image my Crafty Ribbons team mates do so well.  They are me, and I think I ought to carry on making them - no one else will - not comparing my cards to theirs and thinking I am doing min...

Friday Smiles

Last week Annie shared a sumptuous picture of her home grown strawberries.  This week, for a laugh, I am sharing mine... It is a bumper year, I tells ya! :) Sharing at Annie 's

Bicycle!

It is time for a new theme at Crafty Ribbons Challenges . This fortnight we are looking for projects featuring bicycles.  I absolutely love the theme that Marg came up with, and it coincides with Le Tour too :) I've gone with the Queen song bicycle race.  It is one of my favourite songs.  Big bums are a theme in my family, (and they are not a bad thing!) so these lines fit this picture perfectly. I cut the lyrics on my cameo and backed the letters with ribbons. A few little tabs under the photo matt and I was finished. I would love to see you linking up your creations featuring bicycles over on the Crafty Ribbons Challenges blog.

The Dance

Possibly a new favourite?  What do you think? All the papers and washi are from the June Like For Ever scrapbooking kit, the sequins are from the March or April kit.  The lace is from Crafty Ribbons - you can find the grey here and the lilac  here .  The heart string is a basics by DoCrafts, and was a present from my brother and sister-in-law.  I coloured it all up with my blue, green and pearl ink sprays - there is a couple of meters left over.  I'm thinking up something special to use it on! There is a seam binding ruffle too.  It got covered up almost completely but it is under there adding dimension to the page.  I am trying to get better with covering things up.  I watch people creating on youtube and cringe when they cover up what I consider the best part, but it always ends up looking great.  I just need to relax a bit I think! I thought the tiny hint of lilac went brilliantly with the softest greens and grey co...
