Under His Wings

Hello Hello!   Today I am featured on the SpiegelMomScraps blog.   I’m sharing a mini texture canvas with a Bible verse quote... The canvas is around 10 cm square, so it's quite a diddy little thing.  It is packed with texture from the stencil work, the dimpled canvas, felt and sequins. I hand wrote the Bible verse and cut each word out individually.  As it is stuck over the textured background it leaves lovely shadows adding depth to the piece. I have used: Felt feathers and Believee in You sequins from SMS as well as: Derwent art bars, stencil (I think it's from Julie Fei Fan Balzer?) and texture paste. Thanks for stopping by!

International Scrapbooking Day

Hello everyone and welcome to this special ISD blog hop with SpiegelMom Scraps and friends! For today's blog hop you should have arrived here from Jody 's.  Another fantastic project from Jody, don't you think? For today's project I have made a layout using Cocoa Vanilla Studios Free Spirit collection, a cut file from Just Nicks and, of course lots of SpiegelMom Scraps goodies!   I have backed some of the cut file with patterned paper and filled some with Shimmerz Dazzlerz texture paste. I stitched on a giant shaker pocket with some vellum. SMS supplies:  Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Spun Sugar , doily , mini clothespins , 3d adhesive , EZ runner grand , Fairytale 2 , Mint Chip , and Peachy Sherbet sequin mixes. Thank you for spending your time hopping with us today!  Now, you'll be heading over to Yuliya's blog. If you leave a comment on each of todays stops you'll be in with a chance of winning $20 to spend in the SpiegelMom S...

A-Z - L is for Lark

L is for lark.  This one is a shorelark.  He was painted with spectrum aqua pens, Derwent art bars and coloursoft pencils. Not completely sold on his beak, but the more I worked the worse it looked to me so I called it a day... it may look better tomorrow! I'm hoping to have a hop around and look at everyone else's entries soon! Linking up at The Craft Barn

WOYWW and Other Stuff!

My desk today... It's a little chaotic.  There are at least 6 things started but not finished.  I'm having trouble concentrating and focusing on one thing.  Add in to that mix a little nephew who arrived this morning telling me, "I got Panda.  He's not feeling well."  Teething perhaps... Nephew, not Panda!  I guess the desk will stay chaotic for the rest of the day. Loving my temporary rainbow of threads on the shelf... any excuse for supplies arranged in rainbow order :D I am preparing for International Scrapbooking Day as we speak (or type?!) and you can find out how to join in by joining this Facebook group for details on the day.  I really ought to get a wriggle on with that layout!! Also, while I'm here you might like a giveaway?  Who doesn't, right?  Just click on the image... Also also, I just want to say thanks for being part of my online life... my onlife life is pretty much my whole life at the moment and you...

Perfect Blashford Lakes

Just dropping in quickly to share a layout I made last week for like for ever's subscriber challenge... All of the supplies are from Cocoa Vanilla Studios bought via like for ever apart from the doily ( SpiegelMom Scraps ) and thread (stash) I just adore the orangey-peachy colour in this collection. So much so that I trimmed out the over-print of the sticker sheet to use as extras! My health is not great at the moment - concentration is... well, scarce!  I am sorry if I owe you some comments/blog visits - I aim to be back commenting and functioning again as soon as possible x

Just For Fun!

I'm up on the SpiegelMom Scraps blog today :D This little series of cards started as a midnight note scrawled on my phone... because we've all had an idea strike just as we are nodding off! When I was a kid I had a doodle that I repeated, a little fuzzy character and here he is, along with his friends, recreated in sequin form. I gathered my supplies; a circle template, pencil, scissors and scrap of card; glue; Mirror Mirror confetti sequins ; googly eyes! And here he is!  A simple watercoloured background and my sequinned friend stuck on top.  Arms ad legs added with a permanent pen. And he has a fiancée!  I added half a cupped sequin behind her googly eyes, and a green felt heart to finish the card. Then they had a baby boy... or was it a girl?  Such fun! Thanks for stopping by today - go and make something fun!
